Slippy Footpegs

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by simmytt, Nov 26, 2013.

  1. Eta on footpeg kit,March 14

  2. Seriously? Thats hell of a long time! I just got phone call today that my cowl has arrived and that's a month since ordering and I thought that was a while.

  3. If there's nothing wrong with the foot controls as such why not just buy some footpegs? You can get some really nice ones for half the cost, even if you want to spend the same amount you can buy some of those.

  4. We are talking just footpegs:upyeah:

  5. Looking at that photo each set of pegs is a bit different where it connects to the bike.

  6. You are quite right,i will have a closer look at the ones on the bike.

  7. Good morning,
i would be interested also. Let mr know if those who have already shown interest don't purchase them.....thanks.

  8. Looking at the pics i think the front and rear footrests are diffrent, when they are in stock i will confirm this :upyeah:

  9. I had similar problem on my 796, powder coating stopped the problem, just a thought and cost a few quid

  10. Tempted to just sandblast mine and see if that helps. Just mask off the pivot area. Simples.

  11. Thanks for the recommendations in terms of footpeg choice. I purchased a set of Oberon from the bike show on Friday. I've yet to fit them, hopefully that process will be straight forward even for somebody who is technically and mechanically inept!
The Guy on the stand alluded to them developing Rearsets for the Panigale of which will be available soon....

Ultimately I will fit Rearsets not sure what brand yet, I like the lightec, previously I had Ducatis on a 1098s they we really nice- so expensive though!

  12. Update, picked up the DP footpegs yesterday, got well shafted by ducati on this one,the add shows 4 footpegs and are described as a set, what you actually get is a pair, they are quite nice but not worth the extra ducati added tax, wish i had opted for the 1098r version, live and learn.

  13. I went for Oberon. Really easy to fit but my advice would be to get 2 new washers/clips as the originals are soft and will distort when you remove them. Motor accessory shops sell em for peanuts. :upyeah:

  14. Cant you just return them?

  15. You get the clips in the dp kit, perhaps thats why they are so expensive !

I would if they looked shite and i felt a bit of a cock telling them i didnt want them after i ordered them !

  16. has the type or design changed since the Panigale was launched. FWIW, I haven't experienced a problem, but I have only ridden 120 miles !

  17. I have purchased boots and I haven't had any problems. I don't ride on rain or wet enviroment.

  18. Has anyone else seen/bought these? They look decent enough for the price Black cnc Rearset Foot pegs Rear set for Ducati Panigale 1199 S/R 2012-2013 | eBay

    Thoughts anyone?

im not convinced with the Chinese products. They are clearly inexpensive, however, not sure I'd want to put them on a Ducati.
The trouble is every other quality brands are incredibly expensive!
