Been swearing at my lads crf 100, can’t get it to rev up without bogging down. Cleaned all the jets set the float level and replaced the spark plug and still no joy. I may just put a match to it……
I noticed the previous owner of my new bike has cut off the chain guard? No problem I thought, ordered a new one from MotoRapido for a tenner, simple job, two bolts but oh no, not on a ducati They’ve hidden a third torx screw under the shock, so now I’m going to have to buy a set of long reach torx screwdrivers and hope I can get around the shock with it, if not then the shocks got to come out!
As I was in the neighbourhood, popped into MR and my track Multistrada was up on the ramp getting the last knockings fitted. Everything is going well apart from the version E fuel sender which, no surprise, has failed. Not paying £130 for a new one, been advised to fit a 10k ohm resister across the plug to get rid of the error and low fuel flashing. They have fitted my WRS PP screen and I'm well pleased. Andy
Grabbed half an hour this afternoon to whizz across town to stock up on coffee beans. Only 2nd ride this year on the Hyper and it's good to get 'the feeling' back instantly. Here's hoping for better weather soon...
Got it out of winter hibernation . Few pre ride checks lubed chain wiped it over Fired it up started second time and off I went ..lubby jubbly
MOT’ed the RT today ordered a new front tyre, been a while since I took it out have done 6 mile on it in 12 Months.
Replaced both front brake and clutch master cylinders. Plain sailing until trying to bleed the front brake m/c. Thought I’d got it and bled the system but the lever pumped up. Took 200ml to finally get just the m/c bled. Still all done now and the front brake lever has an elastic band holding it back towards the throttle which will be left overnight. Andy
Got long reach T-Bar hex/torx keys (where would we be without Amazon prime) and chain guard now fitted
A lot of head scratching going on over the past few weeks and i finally cracked it today by swapping over the superlight front axles, and yes one has been milled down on the shoulder hence the problem with a baggy fit by around 8mm.
