MOT passed on the old tiddler, 27 yrs old. £16.42 of the finest unleaded burnt through on the new one. Looked at the middle one, really must get it booked in somewhere and sorted out and running this year.
Around £960 in the end. I’m sure I could have got it cheaper if I’d spent more hours calling around, but time is money and all that!
Pulled this out of the garage. If it behaves itself this track season it might get a paint job next winter....
I went out on the Bayliss for a few hours. Ended up in Matlock Bath. I found the traffic strange today……..very congested around conurbations (Glossop/Buxton/Bakewell/Matlock etc) but hardly any traffic in between which made riding briskly an absolute joy as no one got in your way Bike has had its first wash after 3 rides and it’s now away till next time Soon be 1st service time
Yeah, there doesn’t seem to be any logic. One company wanted £60 to go from the 1260 to the V4 Pikes Peak, another wanted £800 just for the PP. So for the PP, V2SF (which still isn’t on the insurance database), Monkey, helmet & leathers, excess protect, legal cover and business use, I didn’t think it was too bad at the end of the day.
If your well heeled like our @El Toro then it really doesn't matter, but i'm on a shoestring budget when it comes to these things.
Did 100 miles around North Devon on the trackbike to see if I’ve ironed out the various gremlins. Temp wise it sits at a balmy 84*c on the open road now but will need to refit a fan if I’m going to use the bike on the road regularly, as the temp climbs rapidly in town or traffic.
