Booked my superlight in with Baines racing at Silverstone to get sorted out and serviced. Taking it up there at the end of the month. Never been there before, but heard good things.
Rather than buy my 916 and 996 from a NE dealer, I travelled there to buy them, and then went back for servicing. And it's a long way......
Good to know, they are about two and a half hours away from me. Looking forward to getting it out and embarrassing some modern bikes.
Putting a set of Michelin Pilot power 2ct on. I've got them on my honda and love 'em on that so interested to see what they are like on the Ducati.
That's what is on my SL, only ridden 120 miles on them but like you, they look like new but are eight years old. Might go for them or metzeler m7rr which I've had a couple of pairs of on a street 765rs. I'll see what the prices are like.
Went to Matlock Bath on the Bayliss with my neighbour Steve on his BMW S1000R for a coffee. It was bloody cold first thing and my hands were like blocks of ice by the time we got there. It was much nicer coming home though This afternoon I’ve charged up my airbag vest and Packtalk in readiness for my ride out to Hawes tomorrow on the Scrambler with my friend Martin
Actually had a leisure ride on the Diavel today, @Android853sp did a great job on the setup, bike turns quickly and is a blast to ride, massive improvement over stock!
I spent a lot of time making small adjustments based on rider feedback. I also found spending time riding behind the Diavel, looking at how the rear swing arm moved over bumps really positive. Pleased you are enjoying the fruits of my labour Andy
Small but has taken me all day in the garage to prepare the R6 for Almeria. Modified the rear mudguard so the tyre warmer fits, modified the front mudguard so a 120/70 tyre doesn’t rub and fit a tyre warmer, reattached the seat pad with Gorilla Glue (double sided tape failed), modified the fairing fixings so the lowers fit the uppers without worrying that they will separate mid session (what a PITA that was) and as the front calipers had to come off to release the front wheel to get to the front mudguard fixings, gave them a good clean too. My Multistrada’s turn tomorrow, got to refit the OE sump plates as I’ve had no luck sourcing a carbon replacement. Andy
Sump plates re fitted to my track Multistrada. All I need now is to find a 20k ohm resister to fool the ECU into thinking the bike has a functional fuel level sender and it'll be ready for Almeria. Whilst I was in the garage, I fitted new, sintered pads in the rear caliper on my road Multistrada and cleaned a lubricated the chain for good measure. Andy
Fitted a load of PPF to the bike yesterday. There’s still a fair bit left to do, so I’ll get a professional to do the rest!
