Failed to identify which of the 4 coils wasn't working properly on Hermann, so popped out on the Hyper only to have the neutral sensor/switch play up again. It'll have to come out. Dull.
Hello Ex-J have to catch up soon. Heading down your way next month. I guess you're (all) back on track? I've not noticed posts in the what's app group. I've not managed a track day yet, and no road riding... I did manage a Freetech endurance round, then jumped on a plane the next morning, found some sunshine, have not been back long. If you do Silverstone or Bedford give me a shout. I might pop over or drag the bike out. I think Pete was thinking of doing a TD @ Silverstone in June.
Fingers crossed Andy. I’ve had a rear on order for over three weeks. 180/60. Some sizes are hard to get at moment.
Noticed that across the board and to add a challenge, my contact has recently experienced reluctance from his employer to buy in ‘not for road use’ tyres. A small number of retailers are advertising the TD slick on eBay, 2wheels and stickystuff are 2 but I’m reluctant to jump in to that. I still have life in the Racetec RR’s fitted but they’ve done 100 miles and whilst they look good, can’t see them lasting 5 sessions of the GP circuit if the weather is good. As you say, fingers crossed. Getting close now, 2 weeks Thursday and really looking forward to it. Andy
@Expat Jack, just been advised my 190/55 TD slick is delayed until the end of June so I've ordered a pair of RR K3's that are in stock. Happy with the RR’s but would have been interesting to compare them with the TD slicks. Andy
I’m hoping to be at Cartagena later in the year so have kept my order open. If the RR fitted lasts at Silverstone, that’ll give 2 new sets to enjoy Andy
Noticed a small oil leak from the Scrambler whilst it’s parked up for a few days in the garage. By the position of the puddle, I guessed the horizontal cylinder, exhaust valve, rocker cover gasket which turns out to be an ‘O’ ring. Removed the cover and found the ‘O’ ring groove was chipped and the ‘O’ ring itself had a nick in it and it had gone hard. New ‘O’ ring fitted, 3 crappy bolts replaced with nice new ones and the fourth ‘special’ bolt re-used but a new one ordered. Next door neighbour popped round and I adjusted the final drive chain on his Suzuki which got an MoT advisory for being a bit slack. Busy day indeed Andy
