(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Cream_Revenge, Nov 15, 2018.

  1. Been poking around the software in a bmw s1000rr ecu. It's like a rabbit hole, the further you dig the more fascinating it gets as to what you can do.

  2. The recently replaced main zip in my go to leather jacket failed catastrophically this morning  After a phone call, going over to Hill4Leather in the morning. They are flat out busy right now but just might sew a new one in for me by next week. Multistrada is being dropped off tomorrow for oil and filter and a fettle. Too soon mileage wise for belts and shims so it’ll have to go back once we’ve been to the Eiffel forest and the Vercors Massif. Andy

  3. Got a my lieb carbon bits fitted and exhaust covers back from the powder coaters

  4. You do know your coming to “WALES” don’t you.

You maybe, I repeat, maybe lucky and actually see the sun, fleetingly.

    Where you visiting Burnsey.

  5. Devils Bridge, Aberystwith as a base.

Passed through on our last Welsh adventure. My mate has covered tens of thousands of miles over the years and knows some cracking routes, stop offs and of course where to fill our bellies.

Last trip we stayed in Cardigan. Like Shameless, but Welsh :D

  6. Poked around in the bmw ecu again.....
Top end is a little bit down as I couldn't stop the rear wheel spinning up...

  7. Dropped my Multistrada off for an annual service and rode away on a Hypermotard 950 loaner. The saddle is “firm” (understatement) and the suspension is bone shaking but it put a smile on my face :D Andy

  8. Popped down to Poole Quay Bike Night, probably been 8yrs since I last went and I can confirm it’s not changed, apart from the price, same blokes on the same bikes. Roll on 2030 :joy:

  9. Did a trial fitting of my Kriega US40 on the rear rack for the Italy trip next month. I think I’d prefer a top loading bag for this trip, so ordered the new SW Motech Pro Rackpack tail bag to use instead.

  10. I use the Mosko Moto Scout 30 and find it much better as a top loader.

I go 'get' the opens both sides thing, but can't live with them, plus top loaders tend to be more compact side to side.

  11. I did look at their stuff before ordering the SW Motech, but the colours put me off!

  12. True that!

I purchased when I had a GS Rallye, so the grey with blue worked well. Good kit though.

  15. Another opportunity to ride the Hypermotard RVE today. Service on my Multistrada complete so time to return the Hyper. My bum is black and blue from the almost rigid suspension and telegraph pole like seat but through the grimaces, still got a grin :D Andy

  16. Swing arm off the crashed monsters engine, two rounds of cleaning on the engine and it still needs more degreasing! While I was at it, I took the air box off the 749dark and degreased and cleaned the section between the cylinders and the horizontal(absolutely filthy) cleaned the front end as well, will do one more pass then start replacing the bolts in the engine.
