Got the little 600ss out from the corner of the garage. It's probably been a month and a half since she was started. Fired up fairly quick but only on one cylinder, got it ticking over and wobbled off around the block. After about 500 yards she chimed in on both cylinders and seemed happy enough. Had a steady ride for about 20 miles, I really think this is one of the sweetest steering bikes I've ever ridden. Next year she will get some love with new tyres, belts, brake lines etc and I will make the effort to use it more. The trouble is I've been enjoying the other two so much she's been a bit forgotten about.
With the Scrambler out on an observed ride, had access to the track Multistrada. In between vacuuming and general tidying, fired the bike up for the first time since Silverstone in June. Not sure the neighbours appreciated it but tough titty, I don’t like their screaming (spoilt and petulant) kids and I definitely don’t like their constantly barking dogs Andy
Sold the lads crf yesterday. Thats half way to paying for his new bike. Rebuilt about 90% of the piece of shit that Is his aprilia. Sounds good. It will sound even better when it's running off into the sunset never to be seen again. Bargain basement learner legal coming on the market soon.
Went out for blast in new 1pc and gloves. I adore race shift. It's going to get me banned. Apologies to anyone on A32.
Made and fitted some extended intake tubes to help with stable air flow. Improved power all through the throttle, wish I’d done this ages ago.
Ricky, i'd have left you with my ugly mug in the reflection, but i didn't want to put you off your dinner.
Peeled all the excess adhesive from the tank pads on my PP, it looks loads neater now. Then put a couple of layers of carnauba wax on both bikes. I bought a pot of Zymol for about £100 a few years ago, and found it in the fridge, so thought I’d see how it brings the bikes up. Although expensive, a little goes a very long way.
Collected the gear that went to spain and back with my bike but without me Buddy who was going with me,his mother sadly died the morning of our flight. Trip cancelled obviously. Train down to wexford tomorrow to collect the bike. Ah well, always next yr
Worked on a motocrosser today, who's owner said it didn't rev. Yes the plastic bag was fully wrapped around the air filter and stuffed into the inlet manifold. Why????
