Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Cream_Revenge, Nov 15, 2018.

  1. Fitted an airbox to a Diablo. Anyone thinking of it, have a rethink

  2. Fixed the handlebar control peg on my lads RS125 using the old trusty Superglue and baking soda trick. As I work through this bike I amazed at the many and varied uses cable ties have. I'm slowly trying to rectify what seems to be wanton neglect and bodge by it’s previous owners or so. :sob:

  3. Superglue and baking soda trick ???

  4. I stumbled over this on YouTube quite a number of years ago on an Americans channel it’s been useful to me when doing small repairs to items.

There a a fair few showing it with polystyrene too, carbon powder and cigarette ash.

  8. Just watched some of the video and it’s amazing what can be repaired using baking soda and superglue, however I wouldn’t recommend replacing the earth pin on a 13 amp plug!

  9. Nor would I given how cheap a replacement plug is, but then we’ve all been there haven’t we when you are desperate enough to do something not so safety conscience.:)

The first clip I watched all those years ago the American was showing you how he repaired large diameter O rings out in the field on pipeline repairs.
I guess in America that you have to be more resourceful on as to how to convert/repair items as you’re sometimes so far away from support.

  10. Dropped forks out the yolks on my lads RS125 seals aren’t sealing and forks heavily pitted in any case, off the eBay it is.

Repainted the top yolk Black and the polished yolk looked gash, I’ll probably at some point replace the plastics as it incorrect for the model year. Tetsuya Harada replica is the favourite or just plain Silver.

  11. Egg-cellent!

  14. I follow a really nice guy on YouTube who does up cars. Started as an Indian restaurant delivery driver 3 years ago and now he’s….well not doing that anymore.

  16. Ah, I’m subscribed to his channel, and am completely addicted!

Edit - I was about to order one, but it’s got his initials on the back.
