It might have been sunny yesterday, but the wind chill factor was not for me, i'd have an enjoyable walk out with the sun on my back which was fine.
Just checked the tyres and wiped all the dust off, ready for a ride on Friday. It’ll probably rain now.
Rebuilt a wheel with a new Borrani rim and new spokes. Never done it before. Feeling pleased with myself.
After an annoying drip, drip, drip I replaced the cambelt driveshaft oil seal on my SS. Fingers crossed that's sorted it.
Headstock bearings, bikes only covered 5700 miles in 42 years but the grease had dried rock hard, felt notchier than a notchy thing !!!
This afternoon I washed my V4S with my recently repaired pressure washer, whilst I’m drying it off I received a call from Biketrac checking to see if I was aware the bike had moved. Very pleased to know it’s being monitored, but embarrassed I forgot to have the key with it.
Following a change of phone and Euro trip pending, reconnected phone, Zumo and Cardo. It's the most complicated job in the world, but all good now.
I very rarely make calls on a ride and certainly wouldn’t whilst riding. But some fully embrace the tech that allows such things, I’m in the ‘back in my day’ camp though.
I don't much to be fair, but when bimbling along in a group, if one comes in I'll decide then. That said, I HAVE to have all the equipment set to its max, whether used or not.
Another day on my ones so another bike to fanny with… May have surpassed the ‘small thing’s’ threshold though !
