  3. Went for a little spin before it got too hot and the roads got clogged with those seeking somewhere to be, other than where they came from... (cannot work out why my pic isn't showing)

  5. Went out on the bike for 3 hours with my GF. It was the first time I'd taken a pillion in 30 years.

Had an icecream in Helmsley because it was boiling :upyeah:

  6. Cracking day for it.

  7. Done a bit of rewiring and socket placement in my garage, to make the stupidly short optimiser leads reach the bikes

  9. Helped a lad out i used to work with (he was our junior) only lives a mile away or so (still on L Plates with a KTM Duke 125) - he doesnt have a great deal of cash and it sits outside his front door...it needed a bit of work doing on it

    1. Rear slow puncture, worn front.
    2. Steering lock fucked from a theft attempt.

So a good few hours was spent changing the tyres and fitting a new lockset. Good deed done for the day, then got back to the boring stuff - hoovering... i will add to this and say that even with new bikes (ktm and ducati being the ring leaders) the quality of fixings and coatings is fucking shocking....his is 2 years old and everything is rusted through....if it was mine id go over it and swap all the fixings out where i could and recoat, i would say about 50% of the bike...

  10. Taken the rear wheel out the lads MX125 as it need new brake pads, new disc and new C&S. Also needs new indicators, all the plastics tarting up and the wheels need a deep clean.

Previous owner claimed to be a mechanic something I’m very sceptical of given it’s condition.

  11. Why not just extend the power leads?
    Just saying...

  12. Because, when we moved in to this house, we knocked a wall down, to make the garage full length again, there was a power socket attached to the aforementioned wall, it has been draped across the garage, hanging by the cable, for a while, added on another double socket at the same time

Oh, and extending the stupidly short power cables will be done soon :upyeah:

  13. Does it use SAE leads? How about some of these as a quick fix? Obviously cheaper to make your own but once you've bought the cable and get the soldering iron out...

  14. Collected the Panigale V4 and 748R this morning after some TLC from MR. MoT booked for both on Thursday. If I can be ar**d in the heat and humidity today, I have new front brake caliper pistons and seals to fit to the M4 34’s. Might be a job for another, less humid, day. Andy

  17. That's the old Tamiya connector that Optimate used to use. You could buy them in Tandy before they disappeared. These days it's online retail, such as eBay, or RC model shops, for them if you want to build your own extensions.

  18. Felt guilty so started stripping down the M4 34 brake calipers. What a forsaken job that is, it’s filthy and brake fluid gets sprayed everywhere, no matter how vigilant you are. Pistons and seals are out, given the calipers a basic clean, now just need to soak them in wheel cleaner and give them a good scrub. Just hope it’s cooler tomorrow, on my second t-shirt and second pair of underpants just from this afternoon :joy: Andy
