Oh yes and placed a deposit on a non Ducati Red bike, I couldn’t stretch to the Husqvarna 701 or the KTM 690 smc r. Had to settle for the cheap seats GasGas 700SM but as it’s pre registered I got it for a fair discount IMO.
Put the oversized petrol tank back on the 959 a long with the original windbreaker reg plate ready for off skis on Friday over to Germany.
Took the engine casings off the lads Aprilia to paint them Black, this light renovation could get out of hand. For every ‘improvement’ it makes something else next to it look much tattier than it appeared previously. Took seat over to be recovered. Fitted new Goodridge brake lines ready for fluids and bleeding Saturday.
Not worth the hassle of potentially getting pulled while in Holland, Belgium and Germany. I really hate it but it’s only for a week or so.
I’m not sure either tbh… There’s a group chat for this tour and the organiser advised us not to use the small plates and to also fit the UK sticker thing that goes next to it. Not sure how strict they are atm with us Brits but at least it’s one thing less to worry about.
Go over several times a year and never bothered about plates or UK stickers either TBH. But everyone has to do what they feel comfortable with
This. They couldn’t care less. I’ve never taken a first aid kit, spare bulbs or a breathalyser either.
For the first time in ages, I fitted some unnecessary bling to my V4S. if I’m not too busy (work) there are a few other bits sat on my bench that I can fit on both bikes.
