Cleaned my textile jacket and boots. Repacked my bag. Charged up my comms unit and airbag vest. More or less ready for tomorrow
Tweaked the KTM to make it a bit less crippling Bars 10mm higher, rear pegs further back The Multi has made me soft!!
Fitted a new bar end to the Gsxr, the other one decided to remove itself somewhere in wales last year. Took ages to find a decent second hand one to replace it. Has anyone got a good 899/1199 bar end they would sell me as I need one of those as well?!
Finished cleaning the rest of the exhaust system & headers. While I had the sump guard off, I gave the underneath and front of the engine a de-tar and proper clean.
I use this and found it excellent, wipe on leave a few minutes then wipe off. Let the product do the hard work in softening up the tar. Can be purchased in 1 litre bottles, it stinks though so don’t use it in the house or your Mrs will know. https://signgeer.com/sign-wrap-tools/vinyl-removers/liquids/surfacework-hulk-tar-and-glue-remover
You get a little certificate of conformity too, which I stash under my seat, as many plod don't fully understand the rules (no disrespect). One looked at mine on a car park, read the info and said it worked for them.
I use this stuff, just spray it on and leave it for 5 minutes. Then wipe with a wet cloth and then a coat of GT85 https://www.mycarcleaning.co.uk/pro...NOLKWiK0zA58LUXILLCrkiAhcfK7x7bBoCUI0QAvD_BwE It’s also handy as a pre wash, just spray on, leave for 5 minutes then jet wash it off.
Rearranged the bikes this morning, the Panigale V4 and 748R are back in the dining room, the track Multistrada is in the utility room and the R6 is back in the garage for me to do some minor bits and pieces. Not least, reconnecting the crank case breather pipe to the expansion box behind the carburettors. In the pit lane at Almeria in May, noticed what looked like smoke escaping through the fairing but it was just one end of the pipe not connected ……. which was a relief. Andy
