A couple of hours B road bimbling taking in the sights. Mind you on a 50bhp 600ss you haven't got much choice .
Had a moment of sheer devilment whilst collecting a pair of Metzeler Racetec RRs for my track bike. I ordered a pair of Metzeler Sportec M7RRs for my road Multistrada for our upcoming tour in France They’ll be worn out by the time we get back but every mile will put a smile on my face Andy
Oh yes, the road Multistrada has been dropped off this morning for a service, during which the bike will get a refurbished eccentric hub and an EVR slipper clutch. Nothing wrong with the OE clutch but it’s done 53,000 miles and I don’t want to be the one that gets recovered from France Andy
Finished work early and fitted the newly arrived rear tyre on the Nsr, thats me all tired out now, I have a rear knobbly to fit on my scrambler but I’ll do that later in the year.
Received delivery of a Packtalk 2nd helmet kit from J&S but it turned out I’d ordered the wrong one Quick call to J&S and I’d sorted the correct one that I needed, went to their store in Gateshead swapped the wrong one for the correct one, paid the difference and got them to fit it to Jan’s helmet Now she can nag me when we’re on the bike too
Ordered a rear Pirelli Diablo Strada for my GasGas 700SM I have a part worn front in the parts bucket. I don’t like the factory fitted contiattack SM too much slippy sliding on the wetty gripper in the rain. In the dry they are awesome but the payback when rains strikes isn’t worth it. Ordered an aftermarket fuel filler cap for it too as the factory ones are notorious for killing keys quickly leaving you stranded. I await being rinsed by HMRC on import duty £118 item postage was about £40. https://vanaschemotorsports.com/en-gb/products/701-billet-fuel-filler?variant=31378835636293
First week in September. Got a few accessories coming for it, some of the Ducati parts are on a 10 day lead time.
You’ll love them on there. Out of interest, why didn’t you want the M9RR’s? I could do with a European tour but I’ve almost run out of days in my Schengen allowance. What a total pain in the arse this unnecessary Brexit nonsense is. Enjoy the Metzeler’s.
Must've been really tiring if it's going to take until later in the year to do the Scrambler's rear tyre...
Yeah I’m getting old. It’s for the winter bike so I don’t need it yet and I’ve got a 6 bike service marathon coming up so that will keep me busy for a bit.
