First time out on a bike since the 26th of July, not a great distance and managed to dodge the rain showers but very satisfying indeed.
If I can get the bike sorted. Hoping the permanently on brake light is a simple fix. Not sure if it has its own relay. Andy
Mobile but definitely feeling second hand this morning. Both my right knee and hip are complaining about the abuse Andy
Look on brightside. It could have been while you were away and, you’re not seriously hurt. Regardless, hope you and the bike get fully fit quickly.
Well after a couple of hundred miles I can confirm there are no surprises in the comparison between the two pads. The V-Pads don't have the same initial bite & grab and require a bigger pull for them to feel/have the same retardation. Don't get me wrong they are not lacking for road use but only lacking when compared with the double Hs. I've also noticed that after being in the rain they don't stick to the disc when left overnight and also don't clack about in the calipers. I think both of these were caused by the 'grabbyness' of the double H's with the latter perhaps compounded by a slight warp in the disc that can be felt with pulsing at the lever under gentle slow speed application.
Gave it a wash after the last few rides. Nearly dropped it in the garage. Note to self - always put the side stand down when wheeling it around on the paddock stand.
The Multistrada is all back together with everything working as it should. Found out the crash bars are still available as spare parts for the Multistrada 1200 GT so hoping the replacement parts arrive for this weekend. It’s going to take a bit longer for me to feel fit but each day, it’s a little bit better. Decided discretion is the better part of valour and have not shot out for a ride on my own, I’ll wait until Friday and have a ride out with friends Andy
Sorry to read about your mishap Andy and I wish you a speedy recovery. Just curious as to what was the cause of the always on brake light at the end of the day?
