Yesterday I put stuff in the garage and just looked at my bike. I was going to go out on it but the forecast was for rain all afternoon so I didn’t bother. The forecast was wrong. Wildly wrong. The incompetent fuckers!
Weather-bomb, I mean really, have you ever heard of such a fear inducing made up phrase? (still raining)
Either the forecasters or the media grind my gears when they use such disaster movie phrases about the weather especially when it’s Winter. My elderly Mothr worries about the extra burden on her savings/income when these ‘events’ are forecast.
"Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering." --Yoda Fear the great controller of the masses used by the powers that be since there were powers that be. Me
I’m not sure my Mother worrying about the weather and her finances will cause a chain of events that will lead to her embracing her inner Jedi and taking a path to the Darkside. Although the older she gets the more that the resemblance to Yoda becomes apparent….
Not today but Monday (not had chance to get in here) went for a ride out with some of the Ducati West Mids lads and one from the Hereford group. Had a bostin brekkie at cross gates cafe then off to Ellen valley. Of course it rained once we passed Rayader! Got wet but enjoyable. I think we need to rename it the Multistrada owners club!
Collected the final few Multistrada parts from MR this morning and have now reinstated the Ducati crash bars. Fitted new R&G weighted bar ends as well as both of the existing ones have unsurprisingly bent. Now just fart arsing about with the Garmin XT as it seems to have factory reset itself Andy
Despite the wetness, had my first ride on the Multistrada since my off last Sunday. Surprised by my initial tentativeness but by the end of the ride, almost back to my enthusiastic self Andy
You aren't on your own I fell off my MV at junction in the middle of nowhere. Really pissed off. Its got a close ratio box in it needs a lot of revs and some slipping of the clutch. Didn't give it enough fell sideways and off A family in Suv came to help. They really fussed about me trying to make me sit down etc. I was perfectly ok but when I think about it although in my head I'm 18 all they saw was a 68 Yr old bloke falling off a motorbike Broke footrestt and nasty scrapes on the fairing
After returning from IOM I was really worried as bike seemed to be overheating (showing 225F on the gauge). I put it in the dealers to have it sorted. Found out bike NOT over heating, gauge is telling lies (pasticci di maiale). Running great and no charge! Thanks Alf's Motorcycles Worthing!
Popped up to my dad for a cuppa and hear about his trip to the IOM for the Manx. The sun was out so had to go on a bike. Ripped up the tarmac on the 600ss.
Fitted some new brake discs to a new wheel, and fitted it on the GSXR750, adjusted the angle of the clutch lever, adjusted the angle of the gear selector lever (my fault, I got it a couple of splines out when refitting it), and reset the front suspension back to factory settings (one of the previous owners had done a bodge job on it)
