Serviced 2 panigales ready for almeria and fitted a tank extension to mine to accommodate my unfeasibly long legs. Can always put it back to normal if I can't get away with it
this week i have been mostly convincing Lexmoto UK that i have a rough idea that i know what i'm talking about. despite their protests. a new engine, chain and sprockets (DiD) and new rear pads for the price of collecting and returning (400mls) the LXR. knowing the shit dealerships have to protect themselves from from time to time i'm pretty happy about that.
Took delivery of a set of SBS front pads for the Mt09. Tenner a side I reckon they were listed incorrectly.
Waterproofed my winter gear and cleaned my one piece leathers, not used them for about 5 years and noticed they were minging.
repaired and refitted one modified baffle, sounds nice again (on the Ugly) but suspect it might not last so ordered another pair and will weld next time.
Took my brand new V4 multi back to the dealers to get the screw I picked up on the way home removed and plugged. It was bigger than I realised
Swapped the lightweight wheels with sports tyres on currently fitted to my Multistrada for more appropriate stock wheels with touring tyres on. Going to be wet for a 100 mile memorial ride on Sunday. Andy
Took delivery of some waterproof winter trousers and then tested them on a ride to Wales, it pissed down with biblical proportions in Ludlow. They are not waterproof I was drenched to the skin and freezing by the time I got to my destination.
Remembered monster needs sorning or renewing by 31st, so decided I’d use it t, for the last time til spring and have a ride up to join Cookster for the National motorcycle museum event he’s been asked to show the DJ bike at. If free parking for bikes and free entry for all this weekend with stalls and shows and some biking starts on show both days. So pumped up tyres, checked I have at least half a tank to get me there and bike moved to be able to ride out. Kit indoors, helmet visor cleaned, alarm set for stupid o’clock!
Put it on charge first thing in the hope that the roads will dry out enough for a ride in a few hours. I’m not getting my hopes up!
