Do it! Not cheap at £108 inc vat, but worth it. They treat the alloy underneath 1st so the corrosion doesn’t come back
I'd love to drop the oyster mortar, get it stripped and redone as it is terribly flakey and someone in the past has painted with what looks like hammerite
Finally finished the tuono 12k service. What a PITA. Then did some man maths to justify a v4s streetfighter at my age. Numbers added up
After taking the bike for its first service to Coventry on Friday, riding through absolute shite weather and all the mud from the HS2 road works the bike was filthy, so snow foamed and cleaned today
took an age freeing off, removing and then repairing this exhaust clamp, even had to tap it out as a subject of galling. stainless on stainless.
Getting the bodywork ready for a bit of tlc and a re-lacquer. Always takes longer than one thinks... and a quick 'hurrah' for the trusty Dremel!
At the moment I’m using Autoglym snow foam. I have a Karcher K5 with a snow foam lance. My karcher is pressure adjustable too as I don’t use it on full power on the bike. There’s loads of snow foams around, if you google and watch YouTube vids there’s quite a choice. Once the Autoglym has been used up I may try another type as I’m not massively impressed with AG
Assembled a new shelving rack for the workshop, transferred the stuff from the old one to the new one Refitted the bonnet to a car that I have been trying, and failing, to get the engine out of, then had a big argument with the neighbour, don't worry, he's a grumpy old bastard that has moaned since before we moved in Then, decided to have another look for the coolant leak on the 996, of course, it needed to be at operating temperature, sounds nice and loud through the carbon Remus cans, that should piss him off a bit more* *silly old tosser, I always call him Victor, was spotted staring at me through an upstairs window
I probably don't use it the way that the purists do I rinse the vehicle with the karcher pressure washer, then apply the snow foam, let it sit for a couple of minutes, then agitate with a microfiber wash mitt, rinse the vehicle, dry the vehicle with a drying towel, sometimes, I apply a coat of Autosmart Cobalt after the wash
Curious as to what it is you don’t like about it. I too use it with a Karcher foam lance and I find it doesn’t linger too long, it seems to slide off too quickly
Obviously he’s pushing Gyeon products but this YT vid I found very useful when I first came across it some time ago.
