Wet in there, dry and warm in the airing cupboard, back on the bike, it has shrunk but not enough to fit the bolt in properly
Put my Sons Aprilia MX125 carb back together, reassembled the parts taken off fixed some little issues that I found with the bike unrelated to rough running. Took it out for a test ride as you do especially when it’s a 2 stroke 125, runs well but won’t pull top speed in top gear. Might change the gearing to get it’s max speed up there where we want it to be.
Fitted QD De-cat and DP dynamic indicators ( I know they look a bit tacky, as every car has them now ) to get rid of the massive originals
Fitted a new YTX14-BS battery and, having done the belts last month, started the 1098R for the first time since autumn 2021. What a fakking glorious sound the 70mm full system makes!
...i can just hear you saying that, may i add:- "Wahrt a fakkin' glorius saaand that (blah blah blah) makes mee ould Chiyna!
Had a nice trip down to Cheltenham to collect a carbon fibre airbox for my 996, very nice to meet you, and do business with you @cookster Then, on the way home, called in at Ducati Coventry to collect some more parts that were ordered, only to find that they were closed today, after Tim, on the parts department, assured me that they would be open today, not happy!!!!
Disassembled the full Termi system end cans I bought last weekend. Stripped them down to get the full system Cerakoted and wanted to repack the acusta fill while in there.
Removed the reflectors and all the EU bollocks stickers from the new bike. Had a few drinks beforehand, surprised how easy it was. Now having flashbacks to that scene of wolf of Wall Street!
Finished fitting the Evotech sat nav bracket, washed and dried the bike. Cleaned the chain. All in preparation for next weeks SW Peninsula Rally
