Wrong thread,, that belongs in the 'big bike things I've done today ' thread, see previous post on this very thread about this very topic, could an admin move the above post please ?
Back home after a few hours around North Yorkshire………considering the amount of rain we’ve had the country roads are still pretty much caked in mud, so I’ve had to wash the bike down before I put it away
Put the Mutley V4S into sport mode after what felt like an eternity riding cold greasy roads in touring mode Yeehaaa!!!! even if it was only a trip to the supermarket for milk and bread.
Rode it IN THE DRY!! Actually, IN THE SUN!!! Very nice it was too, out for a couple of hours into Evesham and the surrounding country side.
Went to Lichfield to trade some vinyl records. Then went to Chatsworth farm shop to buy some cheese. Stopped at Tagg Lane dairy in Monyash for an ice cream on the way home.
I think the V2 Panigale in white with red wheels is stunning. Can’t quite bring myself to ask for a test ride from my local when I can’t really buy one
Got the old z400 out of the garage , rejetted it and adjusted the clutch then an hour of back lanes on it. I know I say it every time but I love that little bike, flat out in every gear with terrible handling and useless brakes on back lanes make you feel alive (and your still not breaking the speed limit).
Another ride out in the dry weather. This time rode down to Ducati Abingdon to see Dorian and Pam (who used to be at Ducati Worcester) Rode through the Cotswold then over to the Oily Rag Cafe in Gloucester. 180 mile round trip. Loving my new SuperSport
No, LWB panel van, just has the windows in the sides I didn't want a camper, I wanted a van, which I can modify, by fitting a pop top, and some other bits and pieces The idea is, put the bikes in the back (hence it is in this thread), go to shows, put the bikes in the back overnight, then, I can sleep in the pop top
Stripped the rear end of the Raptor to give everything a good clean including the chain. Ran that through a plastic paint pot half full of paraffin and also dropped various bolts in there too. When I fished the bolts out using one of those extendable magnet thingummy bobs I was amazed by the amount of oily gunge that had stuck to the magnet. There was no metallic pieces in there that I could see and am thinking it's real fine filings from sprocket wear?
Spent 3 hrs fitting oem spot lights and radiator guards to my V4 Rally. I hope I don't have to take those panels off again any time too soon! I assume the next time will be quicker as I've done it once before....then again I'll have slept since then.
On the way back from Malvern, called in at Ducati Coventry to pick up some more bits for the pig, sorry, 996 Then, this afternoon, went over to Castledines Suzuki in Wigston to collect a few bits for a GSXR 600
