I would take the car with Wife and ride back. I’m not sure of the layout of your VW but in my Vito it is very cosy when there are 3 people in. Especially as the gear change protrudes out too much into the centre passenger space.
Taking car would mean extra ferry booking for the bike Car with trailer is double what the van is The Transporter is wider than the Vito, not by much though I woukd make sure wifey is sat in the middle Nothing as been decided yet, but, I have told my brother, if i collect him, he's buying me a sticker of Thunderbird 2, for the van
Today I found out why my engine was knocking at Cadwell on the Bennetts track day. My apologies for the red flag if anyone was there. Apparently they do say that an engine gives its best before going bang
New rear tyre for the streetfighter. 3000 miles and it's given its all. I thought I would have a fight to get the wheel off having seen other people fight with the wheel nut, but 2 seconds with a rattle gun and it was done. That was untouched since ducati fitted it so I would guess anyone who has a problem removing the rear wheel nut must have had it tightened previously using a gun. Interesting sticker on the tyre, guess that means no riding in the winter
#3 store in a controlled environment at a minimum 20°C for 24 hours before fitting/removing ? Only ever seen tyres stored at ambient in the tyre fitter’s area Andy
For a change it was well above 20C for a couple of days when it was fitted. I have seen split Pirelli slicks after a bit of robust fitting/rough handling but I'm very surprised that road tyres need coddling. It's original fitment as well
I think the damper springs are damaged in the clutch. Feels like it is jumping in and out of gear which is interesting. The rest of it is fine so to the naysayers
Booked an MOT for next wednesday for my superlight . It maybe 30c, or 15c and chucking it down who knows with this years weather!
New tyres fitted to the Triumph. Tried and tested Continental Trail Attack 3 - ridden home in the rain..
Managed to remove rare as hen's teeth decals in the hope Image Works will be able to scan and reproduce them.
Finally got out for a bimble and stopped off to order a pair of Sportec M7RR’s for Spain and France. It’s taken 2500 miles but I’m beginning to gel with the V4 Pikes Peak, still not 100% confident in the front but I’m going to go back to Roadtec 01SE’s after Spain and see if it’s the bike, the tyre or just me.
