(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Cream_Revenge, Nov 15, 2018.

  1. When is it arriving? Are you putting it into a Rsv chassis or something else?

  2. New tyres today. Had 2mm left on the old Tyree’s ( pirelli Rosso corsa 3, 3200 miles old) but going to Portugal in 2 week and didn’t want to risk knackered tyres in some isolated mountains!

Fitted Metzeler Roadtec 01. My mate has them on his 1000 SX and he says the grip and wear rate is really good, so I’m giving them a try.

  6. Sorted the horrible snatchy throttle on the Mt09 (finally) by adjusting the Aps very slightly, transformed the bike. Fitted various tyres to various bikes as well with more ordered.

  7. Watched it get unloaded from a van, with a new rear tyre on.

  8. It's designed for the Mk2 rsv chassis and needs parts of that engine.
Think he is starting machining in September

  9. Messing around with screens on a V2 Multistrada. I spec'd the GT screen on it when I bought it but have found it noisy. It's slightly better on the highest setting. I tried the Iconic spacers with it and no real change. So switched to the standard screen with the spacers and that seems a bit better. Debating whether to get the carbon screen instead.

  10. Sounds like you’ve been flat out.

  11. An old mate came round, saw the bikes and said "...Ooooo, they're nice..."

Must get out on at least one at the weekend! :grinning:

  12. Took the Monster’s front wheel back for balancing after finding the balance weight on the garage floor, also cleaned and lubricated its chain and checked tension and alignment. Just in case the Pikes Peak got jealous, cleaned and lubricated its chain as well. Andy

  15. Ordered a Rapidbike Evo which in theory should automatically sort out the fuelling on the Multistrada with Akro full system. This solution is instead of getting it on a Dyno. Also it enables me to link it to a Rapidbike up and down quickshifter with auto blip:D:D:D

I’ve fancied one ever since riding my brothers Tuono, which had one fitted as standard. :yum

As we’re in Italy we’re going to take a little detour tomorrow to a spares specialist and order said quickshifter before catching the flight home.

I’m sure the Mrs will be delighted with my little detour :p….when she finds out about it. :joy:
