  1. Banged into it in the garage and swore at it

  3. Received this bargain-price Brembo front brake master cylinder from Italy (eBay). Fortunately the bargain packaging of scrap expanded polystyrene & a shoebox was adequate protection!

  5. Yes! Sort of made the improv packaging rather charming & personal. Or maybe they just thought "stupid fucker getting cheap parts - we'll show him not to bother again!" :joy:

  7. I need to do this potentially. Gonna start with upgrading the starter cables first... hot start issues

  9. Adjusted the clutch on the Z400. The kickstarter is slipping as well and I think it’s either the teeth on the pawl or the spring which is a split the casings job. Parts aren’t available either.

  10. Got a spare key made so I can use that one for the seat and panniers

  11. My mate bought a 959 panigale a couple of weeks ago and today was a very short ride with him on it for the first time . He was super excited and nervous in equal measures I think. Only 30 miles but that was enough for today, 2c misty and slippery but at least now he has ridden it .

  12. Fitted a new chain to the MT09 and yes just a chain and not sprockets as well. I normally do them as a set but the sprockets look fine, the chain was on offer on Black Friday and money is very tight at the moment so I just need it to get me through until I can afford to change the lot.

  14. Had a look around the bike after riding home.
What the hell is that... 20250119_100657.jpg

  15. It's a club Sunday for me, oh my it's cold :cold_sweat: External temp gauge didn't get above 0⁰ the whole ride in. It's taking ages for my thumbs to warm up :joy: Andy

  16. Water in your oil.

  17. Hopefully not.. oil level does seem higher than when I changed it though..

  18. Bit of condensation from combustion products I would say. Normal at this time of year if you haven't gone far or just warmed the engine up in the garage.
Unless you have an oil/water heater exchanger the oil temperature lags behind the water temperature so doesn't warm up as quick as you think.
Go and give it a good thrash

  19. Might just be a bit of condensation inside the cases if it’s been sat a while.

  20. Good to know thanks. Literally just let the bike idle to temp gauge showing 40 then short ride home. 6 miles...
