My experience with Bennett's also. I've been with them since they were a single shop with three desks just off the Radford Rd in Coventry. One thing that does change which might alter the quote is that you are one year older.
Yep just fired up now... 2 mins away from where my parents live. Took ages to walk it there. I can go home now and sleep
I Was going to wait till December to buy and install the exact start upgrade cable kit along with doing belts and checking valve clearances, but these starting issues are getting to me.. too hot, doesn't start easy. Cold not interested. My hope is that these cables are all i need, and not a new starter motor and/or starter clutch. If so that will have to wait till December for funds.
Fitted new wheel bearings and tyres to the bevel wheels. I had forgotten how much i dislike fitting stiff sidewall tyres with tubes. Didn't damage the new coating though
Every 2 years, our club’s observers get an independent riding standard review with Rapid Training. Had mine today, 140 miles on some seriously shitty roads, the last 30 miles in alternate driving snow, sleet and hail. Air temperature didn’t get above 2°C. Should get my grade in a few days. Andy
slackened off and removed the two throttle cables on the multi Strada at the throttle body end ready for full replacement, it's like pulling teeth at the moment.
Did my pre Mot checks on the Multi after realising the MoT ran out yesterday not in two weeks as I thought. PITA as busy with work for next few days so will be a couple of weeks before I can it down there but oh well. Everything was fine and dandy as far as I can tell so also took the time for a few routine maintenance bits. Once it’s warmer in the garage I will swap out the clutch on the SS but too miserable and cold at mo.
Had a couple of hours out on My maxi scoot this afternoon. Stopped for a pee in the countryside, when walking back to the bike it fell away from me in slow motion. Luckily the screen and bar muffs took the hit and not really a mark on any bodywork. I'll trim the screen down with a Dremel tomorrow.
630 miles done, stuck at 50 the whole way to bangor and back, because father in laws RE bullet 500 goes that fast. Avoided the rain for the most part, only tipping it down 30 miles out from home. Chuffed with that. A sore ass and a stiff neck. (No euphemism) All worth it to enjoy being out on the bike and seeing Wales again.
Should have dropped the Pikes Peak off for its first annual service this morning but still suffering from what is most likely Covid. Andy
Received the second to last package for my winter mods... Just waiting on new wheels, discs and pads then she can start going back together again!
Worked out my 750ss sounded a bit odd the last time I took it out - turns out I have lost one of the db killers from my carbon D&D cans. How that has happened is beyond me as it’s not sat in the silencer so it must have vibrated out and been lost.
