(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Cream_Revenge, Nov 15, 2018.

  1. @ducv2, new basic adapter kit arrived today and yep, the socket diameter for the latest bike specific adaptors is bigger than my original ones. Andy

  2. I charged the brain for my airbag vest but then life got in the way of me going out on the bike

  3. As it does ;):upyeah:

I was supposed to be at Croft today meeting some mates from Scotland. Didn’t happen

  4. Can you go tomorrow? Or was it for a track day?

  5. Insured this from 1st thing on Monday morning next week:

  7. "1st thing on Monday morning next week" = 00:01 on the 7th of June! :)

EDIT: It is 21 years ago this month that I purchased it :motorcycleduc:.

  8. Nah, visiting parents in Richmond (not too far from Croft) but some pals were doing a track day. Fancied having a bimble over. But as you say, life kicks in then you suddenly have to change tack. Ah well ... next time :D

  9. Fettled my Sons trials bike ready for next Wednesday trials fun evening at the clubs practice session.

  11. Booked the Panigale in for an MoT. Soon as that’s done I’ll tax it and get out for a ride on it.

  12. Hey that looks great & looking forward to better side on photographs when your out & about today.:upyeah:

  13. Collected my 1098R from MR this morning after a lot of love and attention. Belt service and put back into road trim, apart from the 70mm orchestra of course. I’m sure I remember where I put the baffles :joy: Still got to fit some new tyres, maybe the M9RRs I’m no longer using on the Multistrada and change the front brake lines back to OE. I was impressed by the HEL dry break connectors but they make no sense on the road. Then get it down to the MoT tester and smile nicely :D Andy

  14. I have come to that conclusion. The Multistrada is my forever day bike and the V4 will see me through for the track days. With Carole's bikes, there are 9 spread across the house and garage, the 1098R hasn’t turned a wheel in 3 years. Wasn’t bought as an investment and has been enjoyed and ridden with enthusiasm, as it was made to. Won’t suit a collector and won’t command top money because of the history but I hope to find a buyer who will enjoy it. Andy

  15. Running.. had to jump through many hoops as usual, and it's always the loom or connectors, it's enough to make me wave a white flag at times. All ready to go now.

  16. It’s the pleasure of Ducati ownership, I have to say though my Paso was very reliable only ever once letting me down in 18 months. But I did ride it most days even in Winter, only failure on it was the rectifier. It would run fine without headlight on flatten battery with it on, auto electrician at work explained to me the problem.

  17. That’s the thing though Nigel, the Multistrada took a big tumble as far as I’m concerned, any electrical problems on Ducati/Cagiva before have been relatively predictable and easy to fathom, and as such I have usually enjoyed finding them but fixing these electrically is more like a chore to be honest.

  18. Ah I see the chore of the fuel injected Ducati whereby you need a lucky throw of the dice or a crystal ball. You have my sympathy in that regard, they’re a bloody nightmare......:mad:

  19. Why did you take the M9’s off the Multistrada?
