(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Cream_Revenge, Nov 15, 2018.

  1. Been on a 100 mile or so run around West Yorkshire with my neighbour Steve. Called in to Sportsbikeshop J&S in Leeds as he wanted to buy some alpinestars leather jeans.

Spoke to a very nice young sales assistant in Sportsbikeshop who said she’ll fit my Packtalk Bold to my new helmet FOC when I receive them tomorrow :)

  2. Got a new battery for the 1098, no nearby Halfords had the high spec model apart from Redhill and New Malden. Surprised to find it was sitting at 11.9 V @Jez900ie

  7. Sounds like it’s going to be £30 then o_O

  8. Went to watch BSB at Oulton yesterday with my sons, one of my brothers and my dad. We had a great day but it took over an hour to get out of the circuit. If that’s what it’s like with a Covid reduced crowd I can’t imagine how it is when they don’t have restricted numbers

  9. Went to look at a 748 but won't be buying it as it was a bit of a wreck.

I have no need for one, have nowhere to put it and could do with spending the money elsewhere but sod it, why not.

  10. Just had a phone call from MR, my Multistrada is back from its visit to the dyno and should, after a road test in the morning, be ready to collect. An annual service, a new gear position sensor fitted and a bleed nipple banjo mod done at the ABS manifold end of the front brake M/C line all completed. Looking forward to the ride back :D Andy

  12. A very belated clean of my KaaTooM 790, only been 8 days since it and me got covered in insects. Pretty clean other than that.

Ordered vinyl wrap material for it going to go Matt and gloss Black losing the Orange/Silver factory scheme. Then paint some of the plastics Orange.

  13. Haven't finished it yet. Still looking into whether it is best to use a traditional shunt type or go for controlling the AC side as was my initial idea. I have done some experimenting on my CG125 though.

But mainly I have been sidetracked by getting involved in the highly addictive world of modifying old 2-stroke engines, which, of course, requires lots of road testing :). EDIT: And spending lots of money :(.

  18. No idea mate, the items were about £122 inc delivery. RSR Moto got a pair of anodised levers and exhaust hanger from them. Ordered Saturday evening and came this morning.

  19. Here is a copy of their receipt for said items. image.jpg

  20. One day I shall get a call from them too. One day…! :)
