They said they could deliver it home to me once the tank is back from the paint shop and fitted. If the tax runs out beforehand like the MOT already has will I be in breach of the law when I ride it to the local garage for its new MOT?

Bit of a catch 22 situation going on as you can’t buy road tax unless you have an mot So I’ll be riding to the garage without tax or an mot, which I’d imagine has insurance implications too! Bloody hell i must be getting old, I wouldn’t have batted an eyelid at this sort of stuff in my youth!
What he said^^^ So long as you're booked in you, are allowed to drive to the MOT place only. There's no tax implication on insurance good or bad. The vehicle must have insurance to be on the road whether you're off to the MOT bloke, off to the pub or to your pied a terre to visit with a mistress...
Fitted the mirror bolts to the 749, they were ordered Thursday late evening posted Friday and arrived Saturday A.M. Thankyou to Cornerspeed for prompt despatch. Then stripped the carb off my lads CRF 100 ready to fit a replacement that I’ve ordered from eBay.
Fixed the defective power valve actuator on the rgv. Well programmed the ignition tester correctly so the actuator worked.
Got the teenagers' Mito MoT'd, adjusted the air screw as it was a bit boggy at low revs and took it for a spin. Low down it's better than ever, but it's started it's spluttering at high revs again and getting slower and slower. Time for another new plug
Fitted track bodywork to the (now running) R6 only to find there is no power to the rev counter. Pulled the main connector apart and the pins and sockets are green Not going to fix it before Almeria so will have to run with no rev counter and no gear indicator. Andy
Got new tyres for the Triumph by Mark one motorcycles , stuck with Pirelli angel ST as they have lasted well 8200 miles and I like the feel of them , £245 supplied and fitted .
