Probably the last ride out on the Ducati this year… Nice little 150 mile round trip, Richmond, Leyburn, Masham and lunch at Easingwold. Then return by Ampleforth and Thirsk, got just past Northallerton and our normal coffee stop was closed, so we ended up at Kiplin Hall, between Yafforth and Scorton.. https://kiplinhall.co.uk/ Far too good for the likes of us! … the looks of astonishment on the little old dears faces in the tea room when we walked in was priceless …..It was like in the Westerns when the piano stops playing when the gunslingers walk in My mates were on BM S1000rr’s and another one on a GS,…too ugly to get in shot The roads were a bit clarty today and the bike was covered in crap ,..but the Duc’s still the prettiest !! Serious washing session when I got home before I put her back in the garage Farewell summer, it’s been a blast
Excellent! I trust you steered clear of the monks at Ampleforth… Some of those place names do however seem to be from another land!
Took my 750SS for its MOT at Fletchers Motorcycles in Woking today. Great bunch of guys….but I would say that as it passed with no advisories! Given it’s only covered 6k miles in 24 years it shouldn’t be a surprise. Always makes me nervous though
The 80’s… Me and my brother were having this debate the other day, we were in our early 20’s then and we both thought that decade was the best time ever to be alive and we were so lucky to have experienced it and lived through it, I still think that the music that decade has never been bettered By comparison, I feel sorry for the kids of today,…shite music and everything costs a fortune, don’t know how kids get on the property ladder now, or even afford to run cars !
Spent a stressful 30 minutes fitting bearings into the bevel crankcases. Would have been easier if I hadn't been banned from using the oven to heat them up
Picked up my balanced bevel crank so let assembly battle commence. Guy wasn't complimentary about the big difference in connecting rod weights...
MoT’d one bike this morning, MoT’ing a second tomorrow afternoon. Still waiting on the DVLA to send me a V5c for my recent purchase but there’s no surprise there. Andy
Busy afternoon, after trying an Italian made front disc on my light weight wheels, I was horrified to find how poor the OE discs are by comparison when I put the OE wheels back on for a tour of the Brecons in September. Dropped some bits off at MR for my Multistrada build this morning and dug deep for another pair which I have just fitted. Andy
