(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Cream_Revenge, Nov 15, 2018.

  1. Looks a peach, perhaps with matching leathers as opposed to black ones.

  2. Don’t think so. I’ll leave that to youth :)

  3. I guess the classic black leather matchs any future motorcycle colours, and the way you change bikes on a regular basis that make sense.

  5. FUGGIN BRR. why does he always wait until the coldest days of the week to suggest we go for a run?. god craic tho. got chatting to a couple at the petrol station who had been camping in the Hidden Valley up Glencoe. i asked them if perchance they were mad. he laughed and told us about back home ridding and camping above the snowline in the Himalayas. yip, they're mad.

  6. Plugged the trickle charger into the RT ready for the morning as it hasn’t been used for at least two weeks

  7. Wife suggested a ride out today so duly obliged. Quickly realised 2 things, firstly I am a pansy and fucking hate the cold, secondly I STILL hadn’t changed the shagged pogo stick on my winter hack :no_mouth:. Earlier in the year I managed to snag a brand spanking new R6 shock for £80, a direct fit and upgrade with damping/rebound and compression adjustment .

After bobbing around today like a nodding dog I decided to throw the shock on. What an improvement already and that’s from just sitting on the bike in the garage, can’t wait to actually ride the POS :joy:

  8. A wild guess but is that location Lydd on Sea.

  9. Spot on, point of the journey was picking stuff up from the in-laws who live there. Personally I favoured the car with heated seats and windscreen but Mrs slingy decided she wanted to get out in her bike . It was feckin Baltic down there and the mist was no fun either !

  10. I've only travelled down to the Dungeness power station area twice now, so very pleased with that guess.:)

  12. I thought I’d try webuyanybike.com for a price on my V2.

I know they are a trade dealer and have to make a profit but I wonder if they ever manage to buy any bikes with the ridiculous offers they make.

  13. £10250 is my bet.

  15. Not absolutely horrific then. I was offered a new bog standard unregistered one for £13995 late last year from a Ducati dealer.

  16. It’s bloody awful compared to the offer I’ve been made.

ps You should have bought it for £14k if you didn’t, as you’d be in profit by now :)

  17. Whenever I'm part exchanging, it's just the cost to change I'm interested in, from my experience, when I bought the v4 streetfighter, there was a massive difference between dealers within the same group, ie Manchester, Stoke and Preston
