  1. It’s how it got downstairs!

  2. Do the wooden blocks for feet at each corner come off?

  3. Joking aside, a mate of mine couldn't get his sofa into a flat a few years back, either up the stairs or in the lift. He sripped it down and sawed the frame in half, put it in his flat and reassembled it. :astonished:

  4. That's what I did but without the stripping down and reassembling bit.

  5. Someone will charge ya a days wage plus materials etc.
Depends how the window was fitted, new build it’s probably rendered in, if not, expanded foam and plastic trims.
Landlords wouldn’t be happy, to remove it, it’s back out with the window, penalty clauses and all that

  6. Oh yeah they came off, but I was trying to get it in the door way on the left... Absolutely no way would it go in, so I sawed the bastard in half just to teach it a lesson!
    :)

  8. Exactly...

Got a local builder coming round at the weekend. I'll be at Donny so one for the missus to deal with.
    Her mother after all...
    Cheers for feedback ;-)

  9. We had a sofa (x2) designed/made that the arms can be taken off and reassembled.

  10. Nope..... chainsaw for going out....

  11. not if you sell it

  12. I bought a 3 seat settee a few years ago that was the same size as the one we had already.
I then realised that we had blocked the knock through lounge/diner back into two rooms so it was never going to get into the lounge.
We had to get the settee remade as a 2+1 that came apart so that it would get into the house.
I suspect in your case that it may be too late to get that done?
