  1. You bloody wimp. 2 months max.:cool::cool::cool:

  2. Glad you are OK and not complaining of any injuries, bar the bent metal.
Check your toes. I know someone who stubbed hers and didn't stop moaning for years...... @Loz

  3. It's always bike time!!

  4. Some asshole knocked mine over the other week. Luckily the crash bungs & barkbusters saved any panel damage. 3 broken clips under the seat panel. 2 i refixed and one other one doesn't really make any difference. Was lucky!

  5. I would expect the bolts to be straight. Never heard of a bolt that was manufactured bent by design.
Post up a pic of the bolt :yum

Glad your ok mate. Anything you can walk away from is a bonus.

  6. Got a couple in the garage from the rear footage hangers if you want them. Cant think why they would have been bent if not as a factory fit ;)

The offending bar is the one between the crash bars. I reckon it should be straight.

  8. I guess the next question is, does it affect how the rest of the bars sit against their mounting points.

Personally I would expect it to be straight, because any attempt to tighten the ends will be trying to pull the bend out of it.
The only reason it would be bent is if it is to clear something, so having a good look where it goes might give you a clue.

Apart from that, ask the dealer. If they have fitted some they are likely to know.

If its not going to hit / interfere with anything if you straighten it, I would do so.

  9. I fitted these exact bars to my bike myself, and I can confirm that the offending cross bar is supposed to be straight. Looking at the amount it's bent, the crash bars did not move much, I would just persuade it back straight again and bolt it back together.

  10. Cheers mate thanks, I'll get the lump hammer out!

  11. use a bit of heat on it if you can (blow lamp, hot air gun, put in the oven), will help it straighten without fracturing.

  12. I'm bringing it to an engineering company, they'll do a proper job on it.

  13. So, handguard fitted, crashbars refitted (Straight, deffo put them on your bike).
Had the bike running since the off and rode it about 45 miles home on the day of the crash.
Started it today, left it to warm up. Came back to find it off, completely no dash lights or anything.
Staryed it and the "error, gear sensor " message appears.
I did was it last weekend and sprayed FS365 on it.
    Any theories????

  14. Checked the fuses?

  15. Have you snagged the wiring to the gear sensor ?
It is on the rear of the engine, you should be able to see it fairly clearly.

  16. I must check that:upyeah:
