  1. Good to hear positive progress! Keep us updated!

  2. Small updates from me...

If I hadn't have been knocked off I'd of probably been somewhere in Germany or Switzerland now heading down to misano for the forthcoming GP this weekend on the multi, oh well.

Well last week I was in a lot of pain to the point where I wasn't sleeping at all, by Friday I had convinced myself that pushing myself had actually caused some damage and went to the docs on Friday afternoon, to put this into perspective it's my first trip to the docs in probably 10 years. Anyway the doc reassures me there's nothing wrong and I've probably overdone it a little.

Couple of painkillers, anti-inflamatories and I'll be fine.

Back to physio on Friday night and I spent an hour having my ligaments and tendons manipulated, ultrasound, massaged you name it and I could walk a lot better for short droids of time, my right knee is still swollen and I cannot lock that leg yet but it's better, so I have to keep reminding myself of that.

I had a few big break through moments at the weekend, I can now bend my leg enough to pedal my mountain bike, so I'm going to try and get out in the evenings to build the muscle strength up. Second big thing was I can drive, decided to climb into the car and give it a whirl and its actually quite comfortable so now I ave some freedom. Third big one was Saturday night round at a friends and asked if I could try and get aboard his 1098 and I could without pain in my knee, this is huge as I would like to have one more ride evn a short one before the years out, so I may try riding around he block on the Desmo just to give it and me a run in a few weeks once I'm a bit stronger.

Very pleased with the recovery just need this knee to go down and then I can hit the gym again to build all my strength back up

  5. Great news Jon, give me a shout if you want to do anything.

  6. Pleased to hear you're getting better. Keep going with the physio etc and you'll be out riding soon. Chris

  7. Great news mate. But be careful not to overdo it.
Had a pathetic little arthroscopy in March and 3 weeks later tried to do a little biking on the 999. Knee swelled up later and told me that I was to take my time. Overdoing it sets back the recovery process, so gently does it. Good things come to those that wait.

  8. Nice one mate. Seen you have a few and I seem to remember you and me nearly coming together at Assen in the fast bits - that was all a bit too hairy, wide open in 5th, for my liking .. Didn't you do a collarbone there too? Was it that year? Anyway, you've come back from all of those and still been quick.

You're on the recovery process so you know you'll be back out soon, so don't rush it

  9. Didnt do my collarbone at Assen, rotator cuff on Nog's oil in practise I can laugh now but I wasn't happy at the time, did my collarbone at Anglesey the following year still have the scars... Screws, plate lol

  10. You're obviously made of glass....ever thought of knitting?

  11. you're all heart : )

Jon, glad to know it's going in the right direction. Have you thought about rollers for the bike? My concern about going out on a bike early would be potential damage if you came off. I have a spare trainer here if you don't want to be buying one.

  12. I too have a turbo trainer you can borrow if you like Jon. It's the type that fixes to the rear stays so there's no fear of the bike going over with you on it.

Let me know if that's of any interest.

    Let's talk when you're back.
