It's odd to me that smoking has been 'attacked' so much in the UK, for example plain packaging with gross pictures and health warnings, complete sites being made no smoking (even outside) etc. Obesity is now being raised as being a high risk to health but https://www.bbc.com/news/health-43240986 Peoples feelings must be considered, why not ban fast food advertising and get rid of the pretty packaging and images for unhealthy food too. And while I'm at it, alcohol isn't far behind - how about plain packaging and hidden in supermarkets etc for that too.
I smoke and vape, but agree with you to a certain extent. Always smoke or vape away from people that don't and outside.
I detest any regulation designed to save one from oneself. If they allowed smoking in pubs,it would be my choice if I enter or decided to work there. In the same way that I choose to accept the risks of riding a motorcycle.
I never understood why you would wash, shower, bathe, then use deodorant, toothpaste, aftershave and then within minutes, light up a ciggy and smell like you have bathed in a pool full of disgusting smelling ash? I have also had relationships with some wimmin who smoke, I can assure you when tongues are involved, it is like licking a bbq that has been left out all winter. Having said all that, when the smokers are pushed outside in pubs and restuarants in the winter, some non smokers who then demand the smokers leave the outside in the summer too.
but intoodeep will accept laws that protect you from the obvious human reaction to the pish you spout.
A SCOTTISH Tory MP has backed Boris Johnson's pledge to halt price hikes on sugar, despite the PM candidate previously supporting such taxes. Ross Thomson said that "proper Irn Bru will return to our shelves" if Johnson carried out plans to review the effectiveness of such taxes and to ask whether they unfairly hit those on low incomes. He tweeted: "The current Government has had an alarmingly nanny state style approach. Sacrificing consumer choice and freedom for all responsible people. Great that @BorisJohnson will stand up for the freedom to choose ... and for proper Irn Bru to return to our shelves."
I worked in bars during the introduction of the ban, the difference overnight was incredible. Once the overwhelming swamp of smoke was gone you realised just how much people stink from a lack of basic hygiene, the stench from the toilets due to poor maintenance, even from the bar with rotten fruit and spilled beer that hadn’t been cleaned. Everyone had to clean up their act sharpish when there wasn’t the smell of smoke to mask their failures
Politics at it's best eh? Irn Bru can be sold as it was before the sugar tax except it will cost more - as Coca-Cola decided to do. Ross Thomson is a twat..... and so is Boris Johnson - obviously
I wonder how long it will be before as well as the smokers hut outside, we get a sugar drinkers hut outside
Yea one for each of the bad habits. Smoking Junk food Alcohol Drugs Alcohol Bikers Alcohol Cyclists Any more ?
Johnson has finally said smething I agree with then! Mind you the lying twat changes his mind more often than a whore answers the door so who knows? No surprise about the current government attitude - the PM is a vicars daughter who speaks like a nanny, and thinks like a nursery teacher. In between dancing like a fridge and failing to achieve anything except boring the country to death.
Will there be tools, a dyno and a wide screen in the bikers hut? PS - I don't care if the cyclists don't get a hut, I'd actually prefer it if they stayed at home -or at the side of the road- and stopped wearing such ridiculous clothes (fatso's in spandex was a bad look for women in the 80's, its criminal now with old blokes).
