I was really looking forward to sitting on it at the bike show and fully expected to want one but it just didnt do it for me.
like the look of them generally, but after seeing them at the show i think they are just too small for anyone over 5ft 6 really ! a scrambler should be a tall bike with good ground clearance.
I think I will get one to buzz around on next summer. A nice can and a set of sticky tyres and use it on a couple of trackdays too. I would put good money on running rings around some of the superbike owners on this forum on a fair few tracks on one of these little fun toys.
It started off promising but just looks like they gave up after the seat....like they were running into their lunch hour and just put anything in to fill the space...
I would like a test ride on one but its not my cup of tea, saw it at the NEC and it didn't jump out and scream buy me.
Following on from and earlier theme I have very little hair so no perming kit for me but I would have a Classic but with an alternative seat fitted. Also having had the chance at the show to sit astride the full range they are very low and at 5'10" I felt very awkward with my feet flat on the ground. I think there will be a lot of young (and older !!) ladies buzzing around the Cities on these in a few years time with us blokes sticking them into vans and off somewhere hidden to have fun on. Wonder what longer forks and a stretched damper would do to the playtime handling?
First Review A Non-Hipster Review of the Ducati Scrambler I thought they were being made in Thailand or something ? not BP
