  4. Imho you’re taking the right approach: personal responsibility for your own welfare and sounds like you aren’t looking for others to take drastic action protect you when the risk to them is minimal and the impact is major. :upyeah:

I wish more were like you :)

  5. The problem is they don’t need to be near you it’s where you go what you touch.. with the best will you won’t know it’s got you!
A bit like a smarmy salesperson

  6. I've mentioned this before, as an offshore worker I'm covid tested along with everyone else getting on a helicopter. So theoretically we're all golden. But we're not (well I am, obvs) Still daily reports of outbreaks of covid offshore. Seems like it's gonna get us all sooner or later. Like I said, let it rip...

How many of the top ten killer diseases have been faced with the entire world closing down to stop their spread?

    That probably answers your question?

  9. That’s just simple fear due to politics being too open and MSM and social media being able to flame the fires of fear.

  10. Bit it totally doesn’t.... that’s the problem.

  11. Maybe - maybe not. Its a bit of a stretch to think all the governments in the world are totally wrong - at least for me.

  12. I would have said the same, it certainly isnt a conspiracy as they couldn’t organise a good chat never mind a pandemic! But evidence suggests they are runnings cared...and peer pressure. Look how the Swedish prem has been treated because he refused to submit to that peer pressure?!

  13. Its a good point but running scared only accounts for part of the trepidation or an exagerated fear. Take that away and there still remains a huge fear based on what these governments see as very likely scenarios...

Netherlands? Their main spokesman or CV19 adviser now says they got it partially wrong. The Dutch death numbers compared to the UK are similar, but when compared to his near neighbors they are disasterous.

  14. BUt also depends how they are reported too.

  15. Going back to the original question. Cos I took the piss and didn't vote proper like...
IF a covid vaccine was announced and available tomorrow? You would have to be a fool to take it IMO. You would be way better off just staying away from the general public where poss until they find an antidote for the vaccine!

  16. Again I agree, but the numbers have been reduced by 18%, so that issue has been addressed and resolved I think!

  17. I've signed as `Give it at least six months` but being realistic, I'd be looking at more like several years.

  18. why laava - hey, that's not scare mongery at all is it/that's what I like to see, a robust display of confidence and trust in your fellow man. :upyeah:

  19. So we have shut the whole world for something that spreads like wildfire but only killed a bit more than a heavy flu year. Just doesn’t stack up.

  20. Exactly. Just nowhere near enough carnage going on to justify the global reaction. Not yet anyway. When you study the death stats (and you have to dig a bit because MSM won't push it out) it simply is not scary at all.

I've been in Africa during outbreaks of Ebola. Now that IS scary. Cop a dose of that and you're in deep shit. But Covid-19? Nah....
