  1. I wonder if any of them that say the virus isn't a problem or if it is a hoax would admit to catching it and ending up in hospital seriously ill.
I guess not, otherwise they would be subjected to scorn rather than sympathy.
Such as: Larf? Larf? We hadn't larfed so much since Grandma caught her left tit in the mangle.

  2. It would be good to see those who have little or no respect or others ,in regards to c19, denied any NHS help, if they themselves catch it.

  3. but the "only killed a bit" is still an unknown isn't it, surely? and the resulting dilemma. Would you or anyone be prepared to bet money on predicting just how many deaths could result if left to run it's course, totally unchecked?

  4. I do think it’s more than slightly fishy that deaths from a lot of other ‘things’ seem to have dropped off a cliff.

I can’t take anything seriously when the data is such a bloody mess. I’m amazed the gov are still pushing on with it. Amazed.

I’m not a denier. But I can also see much wrong with the whole thing. There’s not much if anything that seems to make any sense.

afterall the government admit themselves that the death data is ‘from any cause of death after a positive Covid test’. I have no idea how that is deemed as acceptable. Astonishing tbh.

  5. Couple of questions I've asked myself...

    1. Had it not been for the global hysteria, would I have noticed cv-19? That's a big fat no from me....
    2. So how much has this horrendous cv-19 impacted the global population? By fuck all up to now....
    3. Is this cv-19 bollox then? Yes.

  7. Don’t get this. Why would people scoff at someone getting really ill? And again who is saying it’s a hoax and people don’t get ill and/or die as it adds complications to mostly already existing illnesses? Just because some don’t understand why the restrictions based on the existing facts doesn’t mean they believe it’s a hoax.

  8. Let's just say for a moment that it is legit and the government are right about all of this.

Everything they have done in my eyes has discredited the idea that it is indeed legit. It's a colossal mess.

We are all going to die. Take it seriously. = death rate is less than 99+%.

It can effect anyone. = From what I can see it is only people that have underlying health conditions/are already on their death bed/are extremely unfit. Which you could argue would be the same for most things.

Follow the science = Follow sage who are government funded and have been mostly wrong about everything so far. Or indeed the world health org who weren't much better. Meanwhile there seems to be plenty of backhanders and conflicts of interest occuring.

We need a vaccine. The vaccine is our hope. = Covid's closest relative i believe is the common cold. There has never been a vaccine for this and we've been looking for 50 years. Influenza vaccine only works in what? sub 50% of cases? there has never been a vaccine for sars 1. I wouldn't say it's exactly bright to be hanging 67 million peoples hope of living a normal life on this tbh.

We are following the data = the data makes no sense at all and effectively adds together everything they can possibly attribute to covid and then some which make the figures look a lot worse, meanwhile people seem to have stopped dying from anything else. But this is largely what we are basing our decisions on. it's noisy data at best. I've never worked in an environment that this would be deemed acceptable. You'd get laughed out of the office and rightly so.

Hospitals are at breaking point = I've not been to a single one that's been at breaking point throughout this. Some even looked closed they were so quiet but yet according to the papers these very hospitals were creaking at the door hinges with patients. Also meanwhile many other nasty killers are going unchecked and untreated...

The economy. = Don't even get me started.

Testing = It's so bad I actually wouldn't know where to begin. There's rumours that the tests can't even give an accurate result ffs.

I could go on all day. But it's really no surprise the you have a quantity of the public who aren't buying it anymore.. if at all.

  9. Would be even better is those who hurt themselves falling off horses or playing rugby are denied treatment too

And smokers. And fat people. And those who don’t exercise enough. And those who fall off motorbikes. The list goes on...

  10. Heartless bastard! Facts can’t get in the way of saving people from dying of old age! WE MUST NOW BAN ALL DEATH. WHAT ARE THE GOVT WAITING FOR?!

  11. You’ve really summed up a wimpy attitude. If you’re low risk that’s great, it’s easy not to give a shit about other people. My brother in law has type 1 diabetes and I’ve got a friend going through chemo, plus a few older relatives kicking about. If you think these people are collateral damage that’s your prerogative.

I’m not advocating a particular lockdown strategy, but your ‘let it rip’ attitude is so narrow minded it’s bewildering! Thankfully we’re not guided by angry selfish little men on the internet, although they do seem be getting more and more vocal as time goes by - probably because their being brainwashed by Facebook algorithms.

  12. Both my dad and sister are cancer sufferers. They have both been told that covid attacks your immune system. But if your immune system is already knackered it actually doesn't seem to be as bad as it's not strong enough to overreact and it's the overreaction of the immune system apparently which is causing people breathing issues.

    Fascinating stuff.

The whole lockdown thing for me could have only really been a 'buy us time' factor in my books. The very idea of making whole countries live half lives for such a small % seems amazing to me atleast. Surely it would make more sense to protect those that are obviously vulnerable and let the rest of us get on with it or indeed take a chance if they so wish.

That doesn't seem overly complicated to me really. It's like a ginger wearing sun cream when they go out in the sun. Or indeed not going out in the sun because they know the risk involved.

  13. Maybe I’m reading the numbers wrong but we’re quoted at the moment as having a 5% death rate. That’s not an insignificant amount of people... and isn’t the whole point, not to stop, but slow the spread to ensure our health systems can cope? I’ve heard from doctors and nurses saying they were at breaking point in the first half of 2020, and then following full lockdown things quietened down substantially. Last week I then saw a practitioner at Manchester hospital claiming their beds were almost full...

  14. Can someone explain to me why on one side it's been said that covid isnt as bad and hospitals aren't really full but on the other side the same people say deaths from lung cancer etc are up because treatments are delayed or cancelled. My question is, if hospitals are empty as covid is no worse than the flu or similar why are other treatments delayed or cancelled?

  15. I hear you mate. And please don't read my posts as argumentative or in any other manner other than that I am as inquisitive as the rest of us.

Manchester isn't a hospital that I deal with in fairness so I can't comment on that. The 5% death rate I equally struggle with as the gov admit themselves that these could be from literally any factor of death which has a positive covid test in the last 28 days.

Firstly we know the tests aren't accurate. Secondly we know that they could have literally died of anything as above. This is the problem with noisy data. It's basically useless.

What I can say is that over this whole ordeal I've read about the hospitals being at capacity etc. Some of these hospitals are ones I deal with and were alleged to be 'overrun'. But they NEVER have been. The covid wards have at times been busy but then most only have a few wards and in those wards not many beds. Which brings me to the conclusion that it's the limited wards they have that are full. Not the hospitals. After all... you could create more wards.

I think that we can all at very least agree on one thing logically and level headedly ... The data makes no sense at all whether you're a believer of the hype or not taking all obvious issues in to account.

  16. Don't know full details but one problem is filling 'slots' in theaters. People have to isolate for 14 days before an OP, so if one gets cancelled it's impossible to fill that slot.

  17. I genuinely think that we are at a point now with the data that the only way of getting a close ish to genuine death figure would be to look at the average deaths of everything over the last 10 years and compare it to this years whilst adding a correction factor in somehow due to the inactivity of the public to find the excess. It's that much of a mess.

I would however put money on it being vastly less than the governments figures but I reckon it would make more sense than the Govs. Not that that would be difficult to do.

  18. Perhaps that is one reason, although my wife's elective removal of screws in her arm went ahead at short notice. Call on a Monday and covid test. Op on the Tuesday. All due to a cancellation. At least in this case the 14days isolation doesn't hold true, but why would chemotherapy not be happening and why would peoples diagnostics be delayed?

  19. Their beds are always full.

Its a simple lack of correct investment in the NHS if we want to keep it. Why does it take 18 months to see someone when you can see the same consultant, if you pay, within a week? Thats the problem. Either we make consultants etc who qualify west only with NHS for a period or we remove most of the services from NHS.

The second problems is every expects to be cured of everything! And science has made it so we can cure so much more (or put off the inevitable) its quite fair most do. But that is a problem. And one that will get larger with time.
