  1. the scary thing is, you’ve got ‘normal’ Joe public that can see issues with the decisions that were made at times literally the moment it’s been announced

but all these qualified experts don’t.

scary times. It’s becoming like the boy that cried wolf in my books.

  2. Someone wanting fact and more understanding is a denier. Tells you all you need to know about why we need some kind of IQ test to allow voting :poop:

  3. I can’t help thinking the people making the decisions about how to use public money are just looking for ways to channel it to their ‘mates’.

Perhaps it’s always been like that, but more obvious now.

  4. I really do hate that about this country

the second you question anything you get Blue haired angry hairy minge lesbians shouting at you “are you an expert” etc

    very sad.

Let’s all remember that experts thought smart motorways were a good idea.

There also used to be laws regarding homosexuality being illegal which involved jail or indeed chemical hormone treatment... is it right that nobody contests these things. Ofcourse not.

Very strange bunch of people who seem to want to live in a dictatorship like arrangement where everyone is the same and does exactly what they’re told. Years ago they’d be in a circus but these days they’ve got a voice. But fuck me who wants to hear it... other than the media who use it to drum up hysteria. I find them best ignored.

fuck that. Some of them really do have a whiff of the nazi party about them.

  5. To stop these university educated idiots with no common sense from voting ?

  8. Who worked in retail as has Mike Coupe

  9. Perhaps thats a little harsh? Though it certainly seems that all Eton educated twats should be barred from taking office.

  10. Maybe it depends on the degree, not sure what a degree in classics qualifies one to be.

I remember showing someone that had a degree in electronics how to use a multimeter once. He couldn’t work it out as it was different to the one he’d used before.

  11. I know what I’d rather take my chance with... and it ain’t Ebola.

So by that logic, cv19’s here forever?

    • Agree Agree x 1
  12. Ebola has a kill rate of 40%, so extremely bad news for people who get it. The good news is most people have virtually no possibility of that happening. Throughout the last major Ebola event in west Africa, just under 12,000 died. Earlier this year that was about ten days of Covid in England alone.

To answer your question is CV19 here for ever -perhaps. But if we can limit transmission with vaccine induced immunity and have a fully functioning Track & Trace it will not have the chronic implications it has now.

  13. Ok. Are you a doctor then Jez? Not been a smart arse, just curious

  14. No I'm not a doctor.

Back in February/ March our government -and every other around the world- was treating CV19 on a par with these kind of terrifying diseases . To understand what that meant, I had to know about Ebola numbers in order to get my head around the implications of Corona Virus from a comparative harm perspective.

In the last few pages someone made a comment about CV19 not being too dangerous as it wasn't in the top 10 killers. That is true, but it completely misses the point. If CV19 becomes widespread its likely to damage our economy much more than two years of a slowdown, which is why there is so much effort being spent to avoid it.

  15. Widespread? I’d say it already is isn’t it? So what’s the deal then? It’s never going away?
One thing I do know. We can’t just keep running away from it and destroying economies. Otherwise we’ll all be in wigwams in 5 years. Or dead. Hmmmm.... what to do....

  16. Fully widespread means a situation far worse than now. You will know its happened as people you know will be dead.

  17. Nope. Not having that....

  18. I certainly don't want that either, but the numbers from the testing show its true.
