959 So My Track Bike Is Just About Finished!

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by LiveFast......, Jun 14, 2020.

  1. Stock works fine IME. I had issues at Jerez (first trip) so, fitted a -2 rear for the second trip. Got me to the breaking point (T5) without holding he bike too long in the red or short shifting.

  2. Erm - so I had a little accident.

Bike hasn’t been out much this year as life is very busy. Booked a day at Cadwell on the 9th August before being invited on to go Sailing around the West Coast of Scotland the week before. Got back really late with no time to prep for the day so ended up getting to Cadwell around lunchtime - still swaying slightly from a week at Sea…….

The below is the result of rushing around and not taking the time to warm up tyres and rider!

  3. Assume gripped and flipped? A lot of damage that. Mainly the tank that's a pain in the ass. Not cheap. Least you are alright (I'm guessing as you posted this).

  4. Lowside but the bike hit the opposite kerb and flipped - as the camera parted company with the bike it caught this little gem!

I have started making a parts list - new tank being the most obvious expense as you say.

I’m fine apart from stiff joint in my little finger!

  7. I’m good thanks mate. I haven’t really had a chance to look at the bike in detail.

My Garage currently looks like this - there are 2 motorcycles in there somewhere!

Got to get my Kitchen fitted out then I will have the space to work on the bike.

At first glance the wheels, forks, swingarm, subframes all look ok but I won’t really know until I can strip it down properly.

  8. Sorry I must have missed that Glen - what do you have and what kind if money are you looking for?

  9. Red 1299 alloy tank, without cap or pump. Comes with carbon sliders. (no damage underneath so can be removed if you dont want them).
As fitted here. £600 plus postage.

  17. I’ve an 899 riders seat if yours has a snail bite out of it as it hurtled upside down over grass.
Been in same boat with a wrecked bike.
Seeing friend rip fairing off my bike while it was on its side and throw in 50 gallon track side bin was a very low point. Bike wasn’t even cold!
