  4. So good for a wood working old man then ?? I do find being able to sand the bar at the end of a journey a very important criteria when I buy a bike !!

  7. Yeah, she's a beautiful thing man !?!?

  8. 100%. You feel so fresh you get out the rough paper to make sure the smooth, soft surface is ok for the sports bike guys who can’t lift but have to slide their glass to drink with a straw.

while us old blokes on GSs live it up

You do know others exist right ?? :D

  10. If you’re gonna have ugly, it may as well be treat ugly. Counts those Austrian monstrosities out. They make shegar look like a supermodel and a v8 Chevy look economical

  14. Ignore these tank drivers Skittles, they just "well jell" of the mighty Austrians. Enjoy that big bad SDR when it arrives, be interesting to here your views on the Mk 3.0 ?? I hear, and only hear btw, its a bit easier and softer to ride ? I think MCN said, it's still a pointy tooth Lion but it's had it's claws clipped.
I have the Mk 2.0 and will have had for 2 years in June, and am totally and utterly smitten with it. First bike I have owned that I don't want to sell as the warranty expire approaches. Awesome bikes mate, enjoy !!

  17. This was my Superduke GT. it could be very quick, but the suspension was crap on anything except smooth. Bumpy road and honestly, my 2014 or 2017 GS was way faster. So smooth roads, very fast, just like any other sportbike.
I am old, well 53. After several injuries including one car crash, sport bikes are a no go (though the S1r is fine and faster than the GS...when the road is smooth). Real road conditions though, give me the Beemer..GS is all day comfy, SDuke gt left me in agony after a few days.
Back tyres lasted a bit over 2k, they were Angel GT or Conti road attack3. The bike fried a rear a rear on one short section of Black Forest tarmac. Torque or suspension issue I dont know.

apart from the GS my other favourite things are pipe and slippers. Off to collect my pension soon....just need to plough some fields first. E7E4E1E1-9EB9-4A50-8169-8F617FFFAD99.jpeg
