  8. Thanks Loz, and the same back at you hoping your sister continues her recovery and your brother in law makes a full recovery. Not my day today, used the Multistrada to get to the hospital this morning so went for a ride in the beautiful afternoon and got the dreaded DES Pre load error ! There was clearly some sort of premonition having recently bought a used rear shock from Big M so just the labour cost to find. @Ducbird, how was work and I hope your gap is healing and you have no more pain. Andy

  9. Cheers, Andy. Start having better days soon, yeah? :)

  10. Work was ok had day off today :)
My gap is healing nicely now couple more weeks and hopefully I can eat that side mushy foods
    Thanks for remembering :)

  12. Education? 10 and 11 makes 21, Steve. That's old enough. Your girls will be fine, now treat yourself to a nice new bike.

  13. Absolutely. If my sister is well enough to leave, Carole and I are hoping to be at Brands for the next round of the BSB. I've known Steve Moore for a long time now so we support Kuba Smrz and the team. I have my fingers crossed that they have a better weekend than Donington. Andy

  14. I try very hard because I think it is important. Sadly I'm not always good at it - but then when all is said and done I'm a bloke so what can you expect ;). Andy

  15. Ok! The problem has been solved, filled it up with fresh oil & fired it up for 20 seconds & BAM!!!...it is the dry clutch conversion kit, luckily I already have the Ducabike wet clutch set up at home ready to go...so today this is all coming apart & tomorrow the new clutch will be installed!
I am going to miss the dry clutch that's for sure...but here is the problem...

Started to rip it apart & this is where its leaking from...

  16. So who manufactured your conversion kit ? I've seen one for the Multistrada 1200 and am sorely tempted but after your experience definitely having second thoughts. Andy

  17. The Conversion kit is made by Ducati Performance!

  18. Oh ! That's not good. Andy

  19. I don't know on the dry clutch kits for other bikes would leak or not...but on the 848 from what I have read it wasn't a very good product, the leak is from the big nut that goes on the shaft & you can't replace that nut seal alone, DP doesn't sell replacement parts for this kit, you would have to dish out for another complete kit just for that seal!
For me the only way I would go back to the dry clutch would be if I blow the motor then I would either install a 1098 or 1198 engine in there, I haven't heard any problems about those clutches!
I have had this clutch leak on me in the last 2 years...I tried to fix it numerous times but with no success so it's going back to the wet clutch set up as of tomorrow, no more headaches!
