  1. I'v had this done a few times now Chris, and although the procedure is painless, from my experience I would not have the sedation, I did the first time and without the last two times.
Good luck when it is re scheduled.

  2. Getting ready for action, one of the lads removing asbestos roofing for two days.

  3. My wife was ill today, so I had to do the shopping for the first time ever. She said, "You'll need a shopping trolley. They're outside by the entrance. You have to put a pound in to release them."

I went to the entrance, put my pound in, and pushed it into the store.

I got some funny looks, but I did enjoy hearing Postman Pat's theme tune as I pushed his van round the shop.

  5. Well yesterday SWMBO finished work for the last time. She was a senior manager for a local authority and was fed up of all the back biting politics and cut backs and decided at Christmas that she'd had enough and wanted to retire early. Having tried the VR route (which was denied cos she was "too valuable" to the organisation ) she decided that she'd "retire" instead. And as the retirement package is pretty good too, it hopefully means that we can carry on much as we have been financially.

However I'll give her 3 months before she's pulling her hair out through boredom and she starts looking for a part time job at the very least. :D

The only pisser for me is that I can't or won't be able to retire till my official time in at least 12 years time. Bastard. :(

  6. You'll get the sack long before that happens, ET. That boss of yours ...

  10. Been working flat out on a grant submission for my biz. This has involved high-octane commitment and little sleep. But button has now been pressed 40 mins before the closure deadline and I get my life back. Yee-hah!

  14. New kitchen tap came, fitted it after a bit of persuading it to fit..... looked outside and beaming sunshine:).... 10 mins later after removing anti scumbag devices and wheeling onto drive, back inside changed. on returning bike soaking wet with plenty of moisture coming from the heavens. wheeled bike back inside, dried off now soaking my sorrows with a strongbow..........:(

  15. Just changed my underpants after having front wheel tuck under on the exit to a roundabout....
Luck more than talent means this was the only accident.....
Wasn't fooling around either, assume it was diesel.

  16. Ouch. Hope you're OK and the bike is easily mended, or vice versa.

  17. watched the news today as 200 British small boats crossed the Channel for some anniversary, and the French immediately surrendered.

  20. I could be picking up a ZZR1100 this weekend for peanuts. My mate's buying it and I'll be fixing it, but I know what he's like, instead of selling it and splitting the profit, as is the plan, he'll give it to me for the original price. And he knows what I'm like. He knows I'll take it:Shy:
