  4. Sat around waiting for the boiler repair man to sort out why the central heating won't fire up but the on demand hot water does. Still, new mattress was delivered so with the new bed linen the bedroom is ready for sis to come home. Fitted a new electric shower in the bathroom so she can wash when she comes home. Washing machine is plumbed in, tumble dryer all cleaned and functional so she can wash her clothes when she comes home. Sockets are wired up so the fridge and freezer are up and running so she has got somewhere to keep food when she comes home. Boiler is now fixed so we have central heating when she comes home. Just can't get Aldult Services to talk to me to agree she can come home arrghhh !!!! She's coming home Friday regardless of what they say :upyeah:. Oh yes, I still haven't found the snake but it has a new vivarium to go in when I do. Andy

  5. Had my PA tell me my return leg from Hong Kong was more expensive in business than on the way out.
So it was cheaper to fly back in First.
I kept my cool, thanked her, shut the office door and quitely let out a "f**king result"!

  6. fitted new battery to Guzzi and got it running on new fuel ready for MOT/sale. Many complications associated with this bike which have totally ****ed me off tbh - nothing to do with bike itself.

  8. @TT600, thank you. I know not all siblings see eye to eye all of the time but faults and foibles aside she is my sister and she has no-one else to give a damn. Our parents loved us both and whilst I was gadding about the world learning about life, alcohol and women, they looked after her well being as she has suffered with what they now call bipolar disorder from her early 20s. Since their deaths 15 years ago I see it as my responsibility to provide as best I can. This may seem old fashioned to some but that was how I was raised and I am proud of that. To be fair, I do do some things very well but unfortunately even after nearly 62 years, I sadly suck at a lot of stuff as well. Just ask some of my ex girlfriends although on second thoughts better not :). Andy

  9. Then you are one of the lucky ones Chris. My next door neighbour has a Stelvio and it would take weeks to go through everything that has gone wrong. Well it seemed like weeks when he was telling me ;). Andy

  10. don't get me wrong, plenty to do on bike Andy but turns out I have been shafted as usual - sorry this is so cryptic but not a good idea to divulge right now.

  17. Packed again, taxi again, hangover again. I bought the barman a few drinks, he added additional shots of JD. I think he was trying to see how much I could drink, I didn't fall over but don't remember leaving.
