Mate of mine, a chap called Paul, used to ride an FZR600 on our Sunday Morning Club outings. He used to try to hang off the back of me on my XJ900F as he desperately wanted to get faster. I could see how hard he was trying one morning, he had gone completely over the edge of the back tyre and chamfered away the shouldered edge between the treaded side of the tyre and the sidewall. I have never seen anything like that before, or since. Bonkers.
Today I ventured from Zummerset up that new fangled thingy called a motorway to Londinium. My them other tractors don't half go fast especially the white boxy looking ones- whitey van Mann thingies I think they calls em. Tomorrow I shall be in the Heritage hangar at Biggins Hill sitting in a Spitfire , reflecting on those who flew them, and why, and generally having a poke around any other aircraft in there. There may be photographs taken.
Yesterday evening I spent three hours on my Scrambler thrashing around on the most nadgery, potholed, rutted, gravelly roads that West Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire had to offer. I was particularly seeking out rough roads as mentioned with raised and sunken manhole covers if possible, to see how "twitchy" the bike got at speed. And I wasn't hanging about! I can honestly say this bike loves these kind of roads and "spirited" riding. If you are thinking whether you should get a Scrambler or not, just forget all the Ducati "Land of Joy" bollocks and get one and just ride the arse off it! You'll have a blast if you do, and you definitely won't regret it!!
some would think so. :Angelic::smile:. i will have a quick check, when the lights are out. (you know what those moths are like)
