My talent knows no bounds...either that or I'm about to make a complete balls up. Just spent a king's ransom on spray paint and stuff to spray the wheels on both bikes. This is something I've not had much luck with in the past, but I've since watched youtube, so I'm nearly a professional now...wish me luck!

Well today I have mainly.....struggled to keep my eyes open! Finished packing the PA system in MY van and got home at 2am this morning, as part of my unpaid role of roadie come sound man for my daughters singing escapades. Only to have to be up at 5am this morning, for a 5.45am check in at the airport to start a twelve hour shift at work. Three hours kip just isn't enough for a fine idle git like me!
Got my Triumph wheels finished, and they look great. Not perfect by any means, but not bad for a first-timer. View attachment 2843 View attachment 2844 Ducati wheels next... View attachment 2845
I see you are a fellow fridge man. Just back from walking the granddaughter round the oceanarium in Bournmouth. very nice but two hours is an hour too much Regards Steve
Not today but Sat, had a day of firsts; first time I have been first into turn one in a race, first high side, first broken bones and a cast, first zimmer frame, first sprained knee (shame it's the opposite one!) first time I've said 'no more racing' to the missus....still hoping I'll be out of cast and ready for Cadwell mid July
Spent the weekend - working to eliminate strobing and arcing to ground on a set of HID lights..... ended up dismantling the ballasts, unsoldering wires, making a new bespoke loom and junking a can bus capacitor box. End result, a set of perfect lamps, no strobing, no arcing and a stronger beam, than when initially plugged in.... very happy!
Sorted my desk out with the addition of a new 24" monitor so I can use the PC properly. Desk took me 15 mins to build, 5 mins at B&Q getting it cut to size and a further 10 mins eating my McDonalds outside of B&Q. Before: After: Sorted the cableing out and also installed a few other things like my BluRay player and a netgear router. All looking much neater now What you see it: LG 50" plasma 24" LCD Onkyo HT S3200 sound system (inc 5.1 speakers) PC - built by my self a few weeks back, gaming pc Xbox 360
Took the Kitt'n to have his nuts off... :/ missus insisted (sorry mate) picking him up later this afternoon.. suspect he'll be in a bit of a huff for a while....
Cats never forgive or forget! Spent the morning in a panic - need new belts for the 749RS, but what are they? Specific to the little bike (I know they're not R 'cos they're massively wide) or shared with the 999RS? If I can't find them, do I run the old belts and pray, or sit looking at an expensive bike that has a thoroughly refreshed motor that can't be run???? Cue calls to Ducati Corse (no help so far), JHP and Riders. Thanks to JHP and Riders for confirming each others' advice! It's very helpful being able to talk to the people who actually put these bikes together, in English. Then find out that Toine is away this weekend, so when my transporter said he was picking the bike up on Saturday, he was wrong. Then find that there's a problem with the timing on the new motor... (fixed). Sorting insurance stuff and finally, hopefully the KTM head bearings. Think that's it.
To be fair m8, his huff is not going to be too unreasonable is it really.....considering his circumstances. I don't think I'd be too pleased either in his shoes!
the last words from the missus was either his come off or mine! he's back now and seems non the worse for wear (perhaps a bit lighter than he was this am)
