I have had most of a bike dropped off in bits a 1980 Gs . It belonged to my ex boyfriend of 20 years ago. I had a soft spot for the bike . He has emigrated to OZ but was back here. It was very strange after not seeing him for 20years. It was quite sad .. And awkward. Especially knowing your never see them again... Not that I need too. He knew I had a soft spot for the bike. I just have an engine to collect.. It would be lovely to restore.
I issued a couple of proposals, rang a few people up and issued an Italian press release. Tomorrow I'm meeting a Brazilian. That should be fun. Or not as the case may be. And tomorrow night I'm going to watch the Blockheads.
Son failed his theory - geeze lifes tough when your 17 - he said 'you could have told me life was shite before I was born' I held my tounge
Fitted my new battery! Sooopah! Finished cutting a 400/4 disc for a forum friend yesterday - "Sunflower" mod, means less weight & better braking, wet or dry?
A bit slow for this one, as I've been mulling over for a bit, but doesn't the swept area on those discs look a bit, erm, inadequate, 470four? Did the "not me" mess with the brakes at all?
Spent 4 hours trying to remove the swing arm bolt on the 748, plenty of penetrating oil, heat and big hammer, result, cleaned up and plenty of grease and back together. Steve
Bought 12 months tax for the bike online. Went window shopping in Huddersfield. Went to see my olds up north for lunch. Came home. Now laid on the sofa, farting about on here.
A mate got turfed out by his missus, so we met up for a beer, the last thing I needed after last week's drunken lurch round Barcelona. He may well feel better now, but I feel like I've been trampled by elephants:frown: I'm getting too old for this game.
Fitted the baffles in my newly fitted termis just to see what difference they make-more socially acceptable but not as nice as without them! Took the covers off my old 750 Triton so I could just look at it.Not likely to ever ride it again but do I really want to sell it?I get far to attached to my bikes methinks!
