Just got home from Classics on the green at Harpenden. 100s of cars and a fair few bikes aswell. Great atmosphere and a wander down memory lane with the wife. Saw a Hillman Hunter which was my first car. Brought back some fond memories for both of us Then went for a nice meal and drove home through the lanes, no parking up in a field tonight though Good day today
Spent yesterday trying to place the shop's advertising paper table mats in restaurants with outside seating. Not easy. You need to find places where there should be the right demographic, sufficient customer numbers, who do paper table mats, who aren't already stocked up on them. On the plus side, I have been cruising around some of the most exclusive villages in Switzerland with the most ridiculous lake-front houses costing many millions. Yes, this is what the grass looks like here after a month of drought.
This is where I go swimming on my shop days (when I have the time). You can see the 50m pool, the kids' pool, a (small) bit of the grounds. Typical of open-air pools here, even if they are obviously not all on a lake.
Well today I have had 4 Skype conference calls about the contract for a very large project we are involved in. Boring but necessary stuff, but if this goes well this is the start of something big! This afternoon I have two more conference calls with the US. One is with a bunch of space cadets and the other could be a rather nice prestigious project However as in all these cases, it's not there till it's there! On the plus side I've had both the Pani and Classic professionally valeted and they look absolutely brand new again!
I had a lie in this morning, collected from the Hotel, caught the train to Bologna, had a light lunch costing 7 Euros in the town then a taxi to Borgo Panigale for the Museum and factory tour I nearly had a small underwear accident in the cam shaft machining area The best 10 Euros I have probably ever spent
this parks up outside a dealership every day during the summer i used to work at up in fort bill. v.cool.
