I was wondering today, what our parents must have done for entertainment before television was popular and affordable. I asked my 15 brothers and sisters if they had any ideas, but none of them could suggest an answer.

just watched a television documentary on Alzheimers, with the wife. "If I ever get like that, I think I'd jump under a bus" she said to me. "I know - you told me that, five minutes ago"
Today I have cleaned up a pair of 1970s AP Lockheed brake calipers and master cylinder which I have had in a box in the garage for 30-odd years. They used to be on the Gus Kuhn Norton Commando racer [anyone remember that?], and when they stopped racing Vincent Davey sold some bits to me. Popped out the pistons (using air pressure) and what do you know? The pistons and bores were perfectly OK, no wear or corrosion. So I have packed them in a box ready to post tomorrow to the buyer. You can still buy new AP Lockheed calipers, but the new ones are different and do not look right on a 1970s bike restoration.
Dropped a friend off at jhp coventry to collect his diavel...he had just had a new zard pipe fitted. He pulled off then did fly by and dissapeared up the tamworth road.......it sounded absolutely awesome...
I did some testing of my 999 ridden according to the letter of the (ridiculous) law. Then I wrote up the findings here on my blog. Mainly written for non-motorcyclists (in as much as it wasn't written solely for my amusement) but some people may find it a fun read.
