  6. Went on a cracking ride out with some good folk from South West Bikers. Started in Taunton then weaved along some great twisty, fast and surprisingly quiet roads through Somerset and north Devon, skirting Dartmoor and finishing up in Exeter. Day well spent.

  13. My dad passed away last year, and earlier on this year we sold his pride and joy (1976 MGBGT) to my wife's best mate's husband. Since he bought it he's taken exceptional loving care of it and spend a lot of time sorting out all the little things that my dad didn't do (and couldn't do to a certain extent due to his illness) - so, he took my out in it and its better than I ever remember the stuff he's done has been amazing, tidying up the wiring in the engine bay, replacing cracked light, replacing a large part of the interior etc etc....he would have been proud. Quite emotional.

  15. Parked the bike up at the office this morning and one of those road sweeper cars started spraying water stuff out of the side, spraying the walls and getting the motorbikes in the bike bay. I stopped him with a stare before he got to mine. He explained it was only water that they spray in areas where the partygoers piss (nice one shoreditch) and that it wouldn't hurt the bikes. I explained that mine was Italian and that if he sprayed it with water it'd be a pile of rust by lunch. He skipped mine :)

  16. If you are parking a Ducati in Shoreditch it'll probably be stolen by lunch.

  18. Another four hours at work, home knackered.....hospital for zapping at 5.30pm.....home knackered :(

  19. Got home to a new set of tyres on the doorstep, just as the rear on mine had a big tear down the middle. Perfect timing. Got the wheels of pronto and no need to get a paddock stand as I got the touring with centre stand.

Anyone know a place that will change and balance loose wheels? I'm East Sussex/Kent border (TN14) and P&H charge £68 and I'll struggle to drive over there with working in London.

  20. I've had a paperwork day. Which was actually better than it sounds. :)
