Today as I was leaving a customer's premises, I was signalled by the security guards. "Why can't we have a computer out here on The Desk?". Well, I don't decide who gets a computer, my company doesn't decide, it's for my customer to do so. So I plucked one of my random, made-up responses out of my arse. "You can't have one out here, the previous guard was trying to run a porn empire from his so they took it away." One of guards started to say, "FFS, no, why can't we really have one ...". He was interrupted by his colleague. "No, it's true, we had a guard who was doing all sorts on the computer we had out here. He then got scared he'd be caught so he ended up pouring a bucket of water over it one night, to cover his tracks. He tried to blame it on rain getting in and soaking the computer but of course, the ceiling tiles were dry and there was no sign of water getting in." The lesson I take away from this is, if you talk enough shit, you're bound to be right most of the time Actually, this ought to go in the Anecdotes thread :Hilarious:
GGGRRRRRRR!!!!!! Really pissed off! Went in the garage today to get tools 'cause I'm doing stuff in my house and saw my ST4 with a BLOODY GREAT stone chip in the paint on the front fairing! God I hate that! :-(
Flown to Basel for a quick 3 day break, had it booked for a while but was unsure if I would make as my health has been a bit crap lately.
First run out this morning with the new eyeballs. My it's weird not having to find somewhere to balance the specs to put the helmet on and no cracking the visor open because the specs had misted up. I can even see how fast I'm going on the speedo. Wonders will never cease. Left hand seemed to be okay too although that needs to be tested on a much longer run. Also got the nod that the 853 is built so trailered the track bike down this afternoon. One happy bunny today. Andy
