Yes thankyou Ace.More of a realistic offer made on the Triton. We shall see if it actually translates into a sale.
Pruned the blackberries (you take out all the bits that made last year's fruit - so that's most of it. The things grow like weeds in any case, so there is no need to worry. Haggis this evening with parsnips I have just dug out of the garden. (The parsnips that is. I haven't yet tried to grow a haggis). Now for the gym. Freezing bloody cold wind here. I wouldn't want to be riding my bike, even if it wasn't 60 miles away.
Nice day out there. I have been lopping more branches off the tree today. Starting to need oxygen now as I am getting quite high off the ground now (which is nice for someone with a fear of heights). This is instead of going out. No bike available and a big crack in the car windscreen. Joy.
It's a behemoth willow. It's like a normal willow but about twenty times the size. I really needed to attack it about five years ago but I slept through 2011 to 2013.
just got home after a 50mile ride on my Scrambler and the new rear shock is just outstanding I was thinking of moving this on the way it rode it's now a different bike the rear is now so smooth around our crappy country lanes it's showing the front suspension up now!
I've done 4 hours around the back roads of West Yorkshire on the scrambler. I've encountered potholes, gravel, raised/sunken manholes, horse shit, mud, wet leaves, puddles etc in fact anything that could be thrown at the bike has been. And it's coped with it all, admirably. And all on standard suspension But it's now all clean again and tucked up till next time
really I bet your a lot heavier than me Yep mine was spotless before the ride but every dip in the lanes had water running off the fields I have also just finished it's wash. I caught up with a 14 plate Red 899 in Theydon Bois spoke a few words at a junction he told me he's just bought I could tell that all right.
Six hour ride with two half hour stops : / Padded cycling shorts under my textiles are brilliant : ) Top tip and cheap as chips!
Got out and did 280 miles today, my arm was sore at times but that just meant stopping for coffee and cake more than I normally would. There are so many worse ailments to have. I wonder if one of the recorded side-effects of frozen shoulder is weight gain. I'm starting to gain confidence with the bike so I'm carrying more speed through corners, I guess because I'm more relaxed, and that's because the bike feels totally planted. Over 1000 miles on her now. I'm keen to get through the first 1500 miles so I can stop short shifting. For me, it's a superb engine set up with giant dollops of torque. It feels like it would pull away from my old multistrada in a roll on and the mutley wasn't exactly a wimp in the torque dept. We have this cultural habit of referring to transport as female. Well, she must be transgender because to make the big, bassy growl she does she defo has a giant pair of plums. Still grinning.
Like your write up Wally.Sounds like you had a load of fun despite problems with your arm.Not to sure whether is a good enough case for more cake and coffee. On reflection,a pretty good case. You could try a few pork pies for a change.Ha Ha.
At the build+light expo in Frankfurt. Quite simply mind boggling as to its size. I'm currently in the 'made in China' section (hall 10) and the quality of products varies from cheap and functional to frankly astonishing. Some of the high end products here are absolutely lovely.
After work I picked up a new PCV kit from BMW for the car, dealer only parts make my wallet sad but I like parts that just fit and work with no fuss. Got home to another little part for the bike, just a small package from Eastern Beaver (some miniature relays) and I can start fitting these fog lights to the bike.
Got the service history of the 1098 Tricolore that I am looking at buying Slow process, waiting for pictures now.....
