Today I left home at 5am and drove to France. Hailsham was the town I went to. I'm back in God's country now
Today has been difficult. Although it had been expected for the last 3 or 4 days, my sister finally lost her battle for life last night. She was admitted to hospital at the beginning of last week with acute hypoxia brought on by a pernicious lung infection that refused to respond to treatment. It was thought she wouldn't survive through Friday night but ever the fighter she seemed to rally during the weekend however her lungs were just not up to it. She had been unsettled and agitated all week in a sort of delirium but when her time came, the night staff said she was at peace before she slipped away. I was prepared and whilst desperately sad, I am not in bits which is probably good for the next few weeks whilst I arrange the funeral, sort out her affairs and of course the dreaded probate. I have good friends who are looking out for me and I have just been notified that I have been a forum contributer for 3 years now. Andy
